Overview

The Senior Position Classification Specialist will provide advisory and consultative services to supervisors and managers regarding federal position classification and position management.

Note** This position is being recruited in support of potential future contract awards, and qualified candidates may be considered for upcoming opportunities supporting federal government clients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide advisory and consultative services to supervisors and managers regarding federal position classification and position management.
  • Develop position descriptions, reviewing existing position descriptions for accuracy, equity, and recertification
  • Determine the appropriate position title, occupational series, and grade.
  • Develop evaluation statements and narrative justifications to support classification determinations.
  • Analyze classification actions to ensure they are compliant with Office of Personnel Management (OPM) classification standards, guides, and 29 regulations.
  • Determine bargaining unit status codes, Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and preparing OPM OF-8 form and other relevant PD attachments.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of seven years of experience providing advisory and consultative services to supervisors and managers regarding federal position classification and position management.
  • Public Trust Clearance
  • Demonstrated knowledge and expertise with Federal position classification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with staff and the public as well as be persuasive when defending position determinations.
