Overview
The Senior Senior Position Classification Specialist will provide advisory and consultative services to supervisors and managers regarding federal position classification and position management.
Note** This position is being recruited in support of potential future contract awards, and qualified candidates may be considered for upcoming opportunities supporting federal government clients.
Responsibilities
- Provide advisory and consultative services to supervisors and managers regarding federal position classification and position management.
- Develop position descriptions, reviewing existing position descriptions for accuracy, equity, and recertification
- Determine the appropriate position title, occupational series, and grade.
- Develop evaluation statements and narrative justifications to support classification determinations.
- Analyze classification actions to ensure they are compliant with Office of Personnel Management (OPM) classification standards, guides, and 29 regulations.
- Determine bargaining unit status codes, Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and preparing OPM OF-8 form and other relevant PD attachments.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of seven years of experience providing advisory and consultative services to supervisors and managers regarding federal position classification and position management.
- Public Trust Clearance
- Demonstrated knowledge and expertise with Federal position classification
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with staff and the public as well as be persuasive when defending position determinations.
