Full Job Description
OCI Secrets Service is a foundational tier-0 service that plays a critical role in secure OCI and customer services. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for helping design, build, test, deploy and operate highly scalable Secrets services for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure's Cryptography division. You will raise the bar for high standard for security, scalability, availability, resilience and compliance. You should capable of applying basic to intermediate knowledge of software design and architecture, to build and operate highly secure and available cloud services, according to provided design goals. You will build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture. You should also find yourself comfortable in a fast-paced, result-driven and collaborative environment to deliver customer values and mitigate production issues. Most meaningfully, you should be a team player, someone who is eager to learn, and willing to go above and beyond to help the team succeed.   • Adopt the OCI standard tools and DevOps standards, and practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve security, scalability, and resiliency of products and services.
  • Build highly complex enhancements and resolve complex problems.
  • Collaborate broadly across multiple disciplines and organizations to deliver security solutions and features.
Qualifications
  • Large/enterprise scale software development and engineering experience, particularly with cloud services and distributed systems.
  • Hands-on experience driving design, implementation and operation of cloud services
  • Designing for security, availability, scalability, observability, testability, operability
  • Experience collaborating with geo-distributed teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to all audiences.
  • BS/CS Computer Science or equivalent field, and 3+ years software development experience in Java/C++ or similar OO language.
  • Security specific knowledge and experience (Cryptography, HSMs etc) are preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix fundamentals is helpful, but not required

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. Oracle US offers a comprehensive benefits package which includes the following: 1.
