Come Drive Innovation with Us. We are currently looking for a Senior Planner PMO to join our team in Franklin, TN. Provides program management support for assigned program initiatives towards maximizing NNA’s Profit and Presence through all levers (revenue, cost, quality, etc.). Analyzes and presents supporting data, tracks program performance and analyzes of program results while ensuring PDCA governance for holistic program management.
Contributes to global COP (Consolidated Operating Profit) objectives, building brand value and achieving enduring profitable growth.
A Day in the Life:
The responsibilities listed are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties for this role. Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed, to support business objectives.
- Execute strategic initiatives utilizing comprehensive, in-depth knowledge, and emerging industry trends. For example, price/volume, content, customer, cost, and profit trends.
- Provides necessary support and analysis to program managers, senior manager and OPD (Overseas Program Director).
- Collects and selects data, conducts analysis, and presents conclusions.
- Assists in successfully managing Program Milestones thru appropriate governance process for DOA approvals.
- Complete management includes coordinating project schedules and event kickoffs, Cross- functional collaboration towards an optimal proposal, function reply validations, business case judgment, preparation of executive materials with study results and recommendation, and cascading across individual program teams for execution.
- Monitors and conducts business analysis of program performance on an on-going basis.
- Provides data and information to support discussions and negotiations with product planning and vehicle engineering functions to propose life cycle plans to department management.
- Assists with program axis planning and reporting within BP Process including function reply to validation (M&S, Purchased Parts, and Total TdC) and target setting.
- Conducts In-Market program performance analysis vs. BP targets; assists with validation of operational decisions while evaluating portfolio holistically.
- Research and propose to Sr. Managers and OPDs opportunities to improve program profitability.
- Reviews market-oriented data (i.e. vehicle specifications, retail price, destinations, sales volume, performance and quality objectives, etc.) and cost data (i.e. material, direct labor, direct expense, D&D expense, manufacturing allocations, in-house investments, vendor tooling expense, common costs, sales expense, margin, etc.) to ensure optimized functional replies from facing teams.
- Proposes improvement ideas as possible.
- As necessary, performs other related duties of which the above are representative.

Job Knowledge and Skill:
- Project Management/Prioritization: Knowledge and experience in developing and executing on part of a broader plan.
- Analytic Aptitude: Understanding of data analysis techniques to transform complex data into simple, concise recommendations to peers. Must understand program financials, vehicle part cost and feature content, program price/volume market complexities, and program milestone requirements. Ability to deal with ambiguity and develop framework for other functions to follow.
- Negotiation/Influence: Ability to negotiate skillfully in tough situations and win concessions without damaging relationships.
- Business Acumen: Understands program objectives and takes actions required to align with company’s overall strategy and vision while maintaining creativity and entrepreneurial spirit.
- Executive Presence: Excellent oral and written communication skills that builds credibility among key stakeholders.
Experience:
6+ years of related experience at a professional level; program management or other related discipline is desired. Experience with financial reporting is highly preferred.
Education:
Bachelors degree in related field. Advanced degree in a related discipline preferred.
Computer Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Travel:
Up to 20% day and overnight travel.
Ability to perform work onsite at Nissan Americas Headquarters – Franklin, TN.
