What you'll do

Under the general supervision of the Director of Medical Staff Recruitment (MSR), the Senior Physician Recruiter provides leadership support in the areas of physician and advanced practice clinician (APC) recruitment and retention. This position will play a key role in mentoring and growing the Bassett Medical Staff recruitment team and helping them in their efforts to build strong relationships with our applicants, leaders, practitioners, and caregivers. This role will require a professional approach in working with the MSR team with the ever-changing needs of the recruitment life-cycle process and working with appropriate outside vendors to help meet the organization's recruitment goals.

Position has a hybrid onsite requirement.
  • Manage the recruitment process to include scheduling and conducting telephone-screening interviews and interviews with the hiring team, coordinating the collection of feedback from candidate interviewers, and facilitating the candidate assessment process and debrief meetings with, including but not limited to, hiring Chiefs and Service Line Chiefs.
  • Oversee a key departmental responsibility above regular recruiting work. For example, enhancing the A.T.S. functionality.
  • Advise and strategize with the Associate Chief Clinical Officers, Service Line Chiefs, Medical Directors, Vice Presidents, Service Line Directors, Regional/Clinical Site Managers and Members of the Administrative Assistant teams regarding recruitment needs and candidate interview and hiring processes for the Bassett Medical Group physicians and APCs.
  • Serve as needed as Committee Coordinator by advising and coordinating the search and selection processes for Bassett Healthcare's physician management level positions when not handled by the MSR Director. This involves teaming with the Chairperson to organize each search/selection process; educating committee members on protocol and process procedures; and leading an effective search for these leadership positions.
  • Mentor and provide direction as needed to the MSR Physician Recruiters.
  • Participate in professional development including participation in professional conferences and workshops. Gather insights regarding best practices, new tools and the latest techniques demonstrated to effectively enhance recruitment efforts. Share knowledge with the recruitment team.
  • Actively participate in other recruitment-related and departmental duties as assigned
  • Travel - up to 3 national and regional conferences per year may be required.

What we need from you

Education:

  • 4 year / Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Marketing, Management or other related fields, required


Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of recruitment experience including a minimum of 2 years focused specifically on Practitioner Recruitment

License/ Certification:
  • AAPPR Certification, required

Physical Requirements:
  • Light Work - Exerting up to 20 lbs of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg control requires exertion of forces greater than that of sedentary work and if the worker sits most of the time, the job is considered light work.

Pay Transparency

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards. The above compensation range represents a good faith belief of the compensation range by Bassett Healthcare Network, and its entities and affiliates, at the time of this posting or advertisement.

Pay Range Minimum:

USD $77,981.34/Yr.
Pay Range Maximum:

USD $116,972.01/Yr.
