Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Manager to lead the development and commercialization of cutting-edge optical instrumentation solutions. This role will focus on defining, developing, and delivering innovative products that meet the needs of the rapidly evolving Silicon Photonics and Optical Communications markets. As a key member of the product management team, you will work closely with the Semiconductor Test Group across many different functional teams, including Engineering, Applications, Sales, and Operations, to ensure the successful definition, development, and launch of products. You will also play a critical role in aligning product specifications and interfaces with teams across the globe.

  • Product Definition & Development:
    • Collaborate with Engineering, Applications, and Marketing teams to define product specifications and features for the photonic market testing needs, including Photonics IC (PIC) and Electronic IC (EIC) controllers related to NPO and CPO optical integration.
    • Lead the product development lifecycle-including definition, validation, and go-to-market-to ensure deliverables align with both customer requirements and commercial success objectives.
  • Customer Engagement & Support:
    • Partner with the Applications team to provide pre-sales and post-sales support, ensuring customer satisfaction and resolving technical issues.
    • Act as the voice of the customer, gathering feedback to refine product offerings and improve user experience.
  • Market Strategy & Commercial Planning:
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial plan, including pricing strategies, margin analysis, and go-to-market initiatives.
    • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning in the Silicon Photonics and optical instrumentation space.
    • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to gather market insights, identify emerging trends, and strengthen market research efforts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Serve as the primary marketing liaison to the Semiconductor Test Group to coordinate on the requirements of instrumentation to win in the optical wafer and package testing market.
    • Work closely with the Silicon Photonics teams across the globe to ensure alignment on product requirements and interfaces.
    • Collaborate with marketing teams to create compelling product messaging, sales tools, and product collateral.

  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Optics, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
    • 5+ years of experience in product management or product marketing, preferably in optical instrumentation, photonics, or semiconductor test solutions.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Strong understanding of photonics test and measurement solutions, including high-speed optics and Silicon Photonics technologies
    • Familiarity with the semiconductor test industry and its unique challenges.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Proven ability to define and deliver complex technical products in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong analytical skills with experience in margin analysis and commercial planning.
    • Demonstrates strong awareness of schedules and deadlines, streamlining processes to ensure timely task execution and alignment with organizational priorities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across global teams.

Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is $155,000-$248,100. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.

Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
