The Senior Pharmacy Engineer (Focus on Mechanical) oversees logistics, fabrication, installation, operation, application and maintenance/repair of mechanical and electromechanical machines, equipment, tools, motors and systems. The Senior Pharmacy Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

The Senior Pharmacy Engineer ensures maintenance and continuous improvement of quality and industry standards, evaluates mechanical products to determine cost effectiveness and efficiency, oversees and implements prescription drug distribution equipment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions, reduce cost-to-fill, increase throughput and improve quality.

  • Perform the design, layout, testing, and evaluation of mechanical and electro-mechanical devices or systems.

  • Perform product development activities including drawing board layout and interpretation and implementation of customer specifications and documentation requirements.

  • Provide existing product line support in design activities and/or modification of hardware in production.

  • Influence department's strategy and make decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components under limited direction.

  • Exercise considerable latitude in determining goals and approaches to assignments.

You will report to the Director of Pharmacy Engineering.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering

  • 4 or more years of experience working in an industrial environment with automated equipment maintenance

  • Experience/familiarity with computer aided design software (CAD)

  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing equipment for minimal downtime

  • Ability to work independently in a project/task completion driven environment

  • Experience developing and coordinating concurrent projects

  • Ability to travel 10% of the time for educational and related business

  • Must reside within a commutable distance to the CenterWell Pharmacy facility in West Chester Twp, OH OR Orlando, FL

  • Project and Line support require some work to be completed after hours, and weekends as needed based on available time to complete system upgrades and enhancements.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks

  • Experience generating construction or mechanical drawings, systems integration, and user acceptance testing.

  • Familiarity with PLC (Programmable logic controller) devices, control networks, software and applications

  • Strong hands-on mechanical troubleshooting skills, analytical thinking, and strong problem-solving skills

  • Experience reading and interpreting manufacturer instructions regarding repair and maintenance of automated equipment

  • Experience troubleshooting and determining causes of failure to perform corrective actions (I.E. Motors, relays, switches, servos, VFDs, and other sensing devices)

  • Experience with conveyance systems

  • Experience with Lean-PPAP, APQP, PFMEA and/or Control plan and understanding of Six Sigma methodologies

Additional Information:

The work style is full-time.

You will work onsite full time at one of the following CenterWell dispensing center locations:

  • 9843 Windisch Road, West Chester Twp, OH 45069

  • 11010 Florida Crown Dr., Suite 200, Orlando, FL 32824

You will work a flex shift (Starting time anytime between 6 a.m.-8 a.m. EST) with full time 40 hours a week and overtime per business need:

  • Monday-Friday (Office operating hours are 6 a.m.-6 p.m. EST)

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$104,000 - $143,000 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
