Full Job Description
As a Senior Operations Manager at Lime, you will lead operations for New York City, one of Lime's most strategic and complex markets globally.

You will be responsible for the operational performance, profitability, growth, and execution of the NYC market. This role serves as the operational leader for the region, overseeing warehouse operations, field operations, compliance, fleet performance, workforce planning, and people leadership.

This is a highly hands-on leadership role. You will spend significant time in the warehouse and in the field, working alongside your team to identify operational gaps, implement solutions, reinforce standards, and drive accountability. Success in this role requires a strong operator who can balance strategic thinking with execution, build high-performing teams, and create the operational foundation necessary to support significant future growth.

You will partner closely with Government Relations, Central Operations, Product, Finance, Facilities, and Safety teams while serving as the primary operational leader for New York City.

This is an onsite position that requires an onsite presence during assigned business hours.

What You'll Do
  • Own and manage a large and/or complex market or regional operations team ensuring your market hits operating metrics and consistently meets or exceeds defined KPIs
  • Manage warehouse operations ensuring operational excellence and compliance in collaboration with our Facilities and Environment Health & Safety teams
  • Be the operational expert within your region, championing operational excellence, owning end-to-end operational improvements, advising cross-functional teams and engaging in strategic discussions with key external stakeholders including city officials
  • Conduct regular analysis on your region identifying trends and implementing recommendations to grow and optimize.
  • Define and implement an operations strategy for your region that advance the deployment and operation of our vehicles including workforce planning, P&L Management, request for proposal (RFP) prep and competitor monitoring
  • Attracts and develops top-tier operational talent for your region including planning, hiring, onboarding and training new team members within a warehouse environment
  • Represent Lime in partnership with our Government Relations team meeting with local officials, business owners and customers as a representative of Lime to ensure compliance with regulations and to build relationships with key external stakeholders
  • Spearhead safety initiatives for our riders and vehicles to ensure safety remains the #1 priority

About You
  • Fluent verbal and written English [& Local Language for Country hiring in] language skills
  • 5+ years of work experience in operations, consulting, engineering, or similar fields
    • Demonstrated background in driving and executing operational excellence
    • Experienced in managing a P&L
    • Ability to understand metrics and KPIs and the levers to pull to drive results
    • Strong knowledge of the location in which you support
    • Comfortability working in a warehouse setting
  • 3+ years people management experience attracting, developing and motivating warehouse staff
  • Tenacious and willingness to roll up your sleeves, and ability to make decisions in a fast-paced ambiguous environment
  • Analytically minded with a strong understanding of real-time marketplaces (supply and demand economics) and the ability to navigate, decode, and use data to build compelling narratives and reports.
    • Advanced experience of Excel or Google Sheets and knowledge of SQL is a major plus
  • Problem solver skilled at identifying and resolving complex problems, exercising good judgment in drawing conclusions, navigating ambiguous environments while working cross functionally
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to present to senior level stakeholders utilizing data that effectively communicates short and long strategic operations solutions
  • Relentlessly curious, always wanting to dig deeper and understand why, particularly to understand what our customers need
  • Detail oriented with a focus on process improvement, self motivated and energetic, with the drive and ability to learn new skills and grow with the role

The base salary range listed reflects what Lime reasonably expects to offer for this role, with the final base salary determined by objective factors such as the candidate's location and relevant skills and experience. Depending on the position, the total compensation package may also include discretionary annual performance bonus opportunities and equity, subject to applicable plan terms and eligibility requirements.
