Senior Nutritional Services Specialist (ANH)Ayr, CanadaThe Senior Nutritional Services Specialist (Animal Nutrtion & Health) interacts with Customers, Customer Care, Account Managers, and Premix Production to fulfill customer requirements in a timely manner. In the ingredient assessment role, the Senior Nutritional Services Specialist interacts with Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Premix Production to ensure that ingredients are suitable for intended use and that associated risks are taken into account. Premix quality and technical support is also provided to Account Managers and Customers. Nutritional Services supports Technical Marketing and Innovations Group through premix sample formulation and manufacture for trial purposes. Senior Nutritional Services Specialist is tasked to work as a mentor to other members of the Nutritional Services team.
This position provides a high quality of service to the customer - driven to achieve a Best In Class standing in the Animal Nutrition and Health industry.
Key Responsibilities:- Formulation of premixes for 4 NAA ANH blend plants, including modification of existing formulations, completed within 1 day of request.
- Premix label development completed as required for production
- Regulatory compliance with AAFCO or CFIA Feeds Act
- Maintenance of systems, databases and files for formulation and labeling
- Development of third-party non-proprietary ingredient specifications for premix use in blend plants.
- Approval of ingredient sources via SQM Trackwise module, including sample evaluation and regulatory compliance.
- Maintains Ingredient Risk Assessment (IRA), Approved Products List (APL), and Incoming Ingredient Checklist for use by Purchasing, Q&OE, and Blend Plant personnel.
- Develop and maintain NIR testing programs for raw materials and customer premix.
- Conducts HACCP analysis, FSMA and SHE risk assessments of ingredients.
- Initiates, tracks, maintains and reviews SDS sheets for premixes
- Maintenance of ingredient files on Sharepoint for use by plant management
- Administers quality assurance program for vitamins, trace minerals and other third-party ingredients as required.
- Supports account management, production and purchasing in areas of premix quality.
- Management of premix sample program for internal trials and customer validation requests.

You Bring:- Master of Science Degree, specializing in Animal Nutrition
- Five or more years' experience in feed industry is required, preferably in ingredient quality and premix formulation area.
- SAP experience is mandatory.
- Proven record of professional development in areas of change management, leadership, problem resolution and business communication.
- A strong background in NIR technology ideal.
- Demonstrated knowledge of feed formulation and knowledge of feed ingredients.
- A proven understanding of micronutrients and their application in animal nutrition, and knowledge of complete feed requirements for all species.
- Demonstrated proficiency in statistics
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Application (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Internet.
- Shared responsibility/flexibility to work extended hours to cover all North American time zones/work during some US and Canadian statutory holidays.
