Senior Nutanix Solutions ArchitectOverview: About the RoleWEI is a Nutanix Premier reseller partner helping enterprises across the Northeast modernize their data centers and adopt hybrid multi-cloud infrastructure. We are looking for a Senior Nutanix Solutions Architect who can own the full lifecycle of a Nutanix engagement - from whiteboard design through to production delivery - and be the trusted technical authority our customers rely on.
This is a hands-on architecture role, not a purely advisory one. You will design enterprise-class solutions, validate them against real business requirements, and lead the implementation teams that bring them to life. If you enjoy solving complex infrastructure problems and want your designs to actually ship, this role is built for you.
This is a customer- and sales-facing position. You will work side by side with our sales and pre-sales teams - meeting prospects, running technical discovery, presenting solutions, and serving as the technical authority that helps win and grow accounts. Comfort in front of customers and a partnership mindset with sales are essential.
What You'll Do - Lead the design and architecture of Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI), AHV, Prism Central, Nutanix Central, Nutanix Cloud Manager (NCM), Files, Objects, Volumes, and Disaster Recovery solutions tailored to each customer's business and technical requirements.
- Design and deliver Nutanix Cloud Manager (NCM) capabilities - Intelligent Operations, Self-Service (Calm), Cost Governance, and Security Central - to give customers automation, governance, and observability across their environments.
- Own solution delivery end to end - translate designs into detailed build plans, and lead or hands-on execute deployments, migrations, and cutovers.
- Run technical discovery and requirements workshops with customer stakeholders, then produce clear architecture documentation, HLDs/LLDs, and as-built deliverables.
- Design and deliver migrations from legacy platforms (VMware, physical, or competing HCI) to Nutanix AHV, including workload assessment and BCDR planning.
- Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues during delivery, ensuring engagements land on time and to specification.
- Partner with the sales and pre-sales teams to scope engagements, size solutions, and support proposals with sound technical designs.
- Mentor consultants and engineers, and help mature the team's delivery methodology, reference architectures, and best practices.
- Maintain strong relationships with Nutanix's partner and engineering organizations to stay ahead of the product roadmap.
What You'll BringRequired - 7+ years in enterprise infrastructure, virtualization, or data center architecture, with demonstrable hands-on experience designing and delivering Nutanix solutions.
- Proven track record taking solutions from design through to production delivery - you can point to environments you architected and stood up.
- Deep expertise across HCI, virtualization (AHV and/or VMware), storage, networking, and business continuity / disaster recovery.
- Hands-on experience with Nutanix Cloud Manager (NCM) - Intelligent Operations, Self-Service (Calm), Cost Governance, and/or Security Central.
- Strong grasp of the Nutanix Design Methodology and the ability to justify design decisions against risk, cost, and business outcomes.
- Excellent client-facing communication - able to lead workshops, present to executives, and produce professional design documentation.
- Comfortable in a sales-facing capacity - engaging prospects, supporting pre-sales cycles, and building trusted technical relationships that help win and expand accounts.
- Driven and self-motivated - takes ownership, works independently in a hybrid setting, and pushes engagements forward without needing day-to-day direction.
- Willingness to work a hybrid schedule based around our Salem, NH office and to travel regionally to customer sites as engagements require.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Nice to Have - Experience with automation and IaC (Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Calm).
- Experience with IdP connectivity and use cases.
- Exposure to Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2), Kubernetes, and database services (NDB).
- Consulting or partner/VAR delivery background.
Certifications (strongly preferred) - NCP-MCI (Nutanix Certified Professional - Multi-cloud Infrastructure) required or attainable within the first 12 months.
- NCM-MCI (Nutanix Certified Master - Multi-cloud Infrastructure) strongly preferred.
- NCX-MCI or NPX (Nutanix Certified Expert / Platform Expert) a significant plus - or a clear path and appetite to pursue it, which we will actively support.
- Complementary certifications (VMware VCP/VCAP/VCDX, Microsoft, AWS, Azure) are valued.
