Role DescriptionThe Mechanical Engineering team at Form is focused on designing the battery cell, module, and full pack system that forms the foundation of our innovative utility-scale multi-day energy storage system. We strive to deliver designs that are optimized for performance, quality, reliability, and cost for high-volume manufacturing at Form Factory.
We're hiring a hands-on Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to own the design of subsystems within our electrolyte & water management system. This is the circulatory system of Form's iron-air battery technology and it is critical to the system's successful operation. In this role, you will play a key role in the product definition and detailed design stages, first-of-a-kind build activities, vendor engagement, and design for manufacturing. You can expect to work on prototyping efforts across the company, build and validate models of our system, drive us through a series of design releases, and work closely with a cross-functional team of chemical, electrical, and mechanical engineers to design, prototype, and test the storage systems. You will be responsible for design validation before the final manufacturing release.
If this sounds like the right position for you, apply now! This opportunity will help shape and scale our multi-day energy storage system, contributing to the growth of a fast-moving company with breakthrough technology and an incredible mission, contributing to a sustainable future!
