Overview

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will serve as a technical leader and trusted advisor for mechanical design projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of mechanical engineering solutions for industrial and manufacturing facilities
  • Apply extensive knowledge of mechanical engineering codes, standards, and best practices
  • Perform mechanical and piping system design
  • Complete engineering calculations, including HVAC equipment selection and pipe sizing
  • Develop P&IDs and Block Flow Diagrams
  • Establish design criteria and technical specifications for projects
  • Prepare equipment and system specifications
  • Provide quality review and oversight of mechanical designs prepared by team members
  • Serve as the primary mechanical engineering contact for project managers, clients, and multidisciplinary design teams
  • Mentor and train junior engineers and designers
  • Coordinate project requirements with civil, structural, electrical, and process engineering teams
  • Develop engineering labor estimates for proposals and project planning
  • Participate in client meetings, site visits, and project reviews

  • 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience with heavy industrial, manufacturing, process, or similar facilities
  • Professional Engineering License (P.E.) required
  • Strong working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards, including ANSI, ASME, IBC, ISO, and NFPA
  • Experience performing mechanical system design and engineering calculations
  • Proficiency with mechanical engineering design software
  • Demonstrated experience leading project teams and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering efforts
