JOB DESCRIPTION:

Senior Master Data Analyst

The Opportunity

This position works out of our Columbus, OH location in the Nutrition Division.

Abbott Nutrition Supply Chain Master Data team's core purpose is to provide trusted master data that supports supply chain efficiencies. The master data team has a global focus that supports all US plants along with the India and Singapore facilities. The team is involved in most major Margin Improvement or Innovation projects along with corporate programs. Our internal customers are Production Planning, Internal Deployment, Third Party Manufacturing, Labeling, Purchasing, Finance, Innovation Project teams, Margin Improvement teams and the manufacturing plants.

The master data team is a dynamic environment with competing priorities and multiple systems. The job requires problem solving, attention to detail, customer service and a drive for results attitude. The Sr. Master Data Analyst also requires leadership skills to lead project efforts and complex set-ups. The role will support operations through project execution, data management, and reporting. Experience in master data management with customer, material, or vendor in SAP ECC or S/4, SAP APO, or AMAPS preferred. Ability to streamline processes through use of tools/processes like Six Sigma, Excel, Access, SharePoint, Cognos, Power BI, or Databricks highly preferred.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Research, validate, classify and implement master data that adheres to business policies and procedures for all US, India, and Singapore plants.


  • Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the master data procedures.


  • Lead routine audits and maintain dashboards to ensure consistency and integrity of master data elements and procedures. Audits require the ability to extract and analyze large volume of data through reporting and Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Access, or SQL tools such as Databricks.


  • Work closely with internal customers to ensure master data set-ups are timely and accurate through the maintenance and monitoring of performance metrics.


  • Provide ad-hoc analytics support for the team or stakeholders.


  • Lead continuous improvement, Corporate, Margin, and Innovation Projects for the team. Process improvements require the ability to develop new business processes or technical solutions within Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Databricks, and SharePoint.


  • Monitor, maintain, and provide leadership for interfaces with limited supervision to ensure errors are resolved before any downstream processes are delayed for production planning, inventory transactions, stock transport orders, and customer invoicing and provide stakeholder communication.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree


  • +5-7 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.


Preferred:

  • Experience in Master Data Management with customer, vendor or material


  • Advanced data analytics experience - SQL, Databricks, Power BI, Alteryx or similar platforms


  • Advanced in MS Office, in particular Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, & SharePoint


  • Knowledge/Experience in SAP (MDG, ECC, S/4, APO)


  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work in a team environment.


  • Must be flexible, organized, detail oriented and able to prioritize multiple responsibilities.


  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally, with customer driven focus and sense of urgency.


  • Analytical thinking and proactive problems solving skills. Strong ability to perceive and analyze problems and to develop and implement solutions.


  • Excellent customer service skills, clear written communication, and effective work prioritization.


  • Ability to work autonomously. Self-starter.


  • Ability to train and motivate.
