Job Description

As a pivotal senior individual contributor on Zendesk's Marketing Strategy & Operations team, the Sr. Marketing Analytics Lead will turn complex marketing data into clear insights, recommendations, and decisions. This role will independently lead high-impact analytics workstreams across performance measurement, funnel analysis, attribution, forecasting, and experimentation while partnering closely with stakeholders across Marketing and the broader go-to-market organization.
What you'll be doing
  • Lead end-to-end analytics projects, from framing the business question and sourcing the data through analysis, storytelling, recommendation, and follow-through.
  • Build and improve reporting, dashboards, and analytical models that make marketing performance, funnel health, pipeline contribution, and investment efficiency visible.
  • Analyze channel, campaign, audience, lifecycle, web, and funnel performance to identify opportunities and explain drivers of change.
  • Support attribution, forecasting, target setting, pipeline pacing, budget planning, and ROI analysis with sound methods and transparent assumptions.
  • Partner with Marketing Operations, Finance, Sales/Revenue Operations, Data/Engineering, and functional marketing teams to improve data quality and decision processes.
  • Develop reusable metrics, definitions, documentation, and analytical frameworks that increase consistency and self-service across Marketing.
  • Communicate findings in a way that is concise, actionable, and appropriate for the audience - from technical partners to executive leaders.
  • Mentor peers and contribute to a culture of analytical rigor, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
What you bring to the role
  • A strategic and commercially minded analyst who can connect data to business decisions and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently through ambiguity and incomplete information.
  • Clear, confident communication: you can explain what the data says, what it does not say, and what should happen next.
  • A collaborative approach to partnering with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture or the decision the work is intended to support.
  • A continuous-learning mindset and interest in improving analytical methods, data products, and team practices.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in marketing analytics, business intelligence, performance analytics, strategy, or a related discipline.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with data warehouses, analytical datasets, and BI/dashboarding tools.
  • Experience with marketing measurement, funnel analysis, attribution, forecasting, experimentation, or channel ROI.
  • Ability to combine data from marketing automation, CRM, web, advertising, and revenue systems.
  • Demonstrated experience presenting insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in B2B SaaS, subscription, or another multi-channel growth environment preferred.
