Job Requirements POSITION: Senior Manufacturing Engineer (2nd Shift)What You will Do:- Support production and assembly of mechanical hardware used in life support and thermal control systems on Orion/Artemis missions.
- Provide hands-on engineering support directly in the lab and on the shop floor to resolve build issues and maintain execution readiness.
- Develop, refine, and maintain mechanical manufacturing methods used on the shop floor.
- Create or update clear manufacturing assembly instructions for technicians.
- Provide day-to-day technical support to production operators and lab personnel, ensuring builds meet engineering and quality requirements.
- Support troubleshooting hardware issues occurring in the lab during assembly.
- Identify and implement improvements to build quality, reduce rework, and streamline hands-on manufacturing activities.
- Ensure shop-floor processes follow all EH&S and quality standards.
- Review build challenges with technicians, address producibility concerns, and recommend better tooling, fixturing, or process changes.
- Support cross-functional collaboration with production and quality during daily manufacturing activities.
What You Will Bring:- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with technicians, engineers, and leadership.
- STEM bachelor's degree with 5-9 years relevant experience.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work hands-on in a lab or shop environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for documenting processes and coordinating cross-functional work.
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems (SAP/Solumina) for tracking work orders and build status.
- Strong organization and time-management skills to support multiple hardware builds and priorities on 2nd shift.
- Adaptability, initiative, and the ability to work independently during off-shift operations.
Pay Range: $95,000 - $115,000 per year.

Work Requirements: This role is considered an on-site position located in Windsor Locks, CT.
- You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
- Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- This role is considered Second Shift, with core work hours of 2pm to 10pm
Travel requirements: Due to the nature of the work, no travel is required.
