In this vital role, you will lead Facilities & Engineering programs supporting site utilities, facility infrastructure, reliability, sustainability, capital projects, and digital transformation. You will ensure utility and facility systems operate safely, reliably, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory and business requirements.
You will lead a multidisciplinary team of engineering professionals and system owners responsible for optimizing asset performance, advancing continuous improvement & site's digitalization integrating AI strategy in Engineering and Facilities organization.
Success in this role will be driven by the ability to lead and deliver results across the following areas: Utilities Reliability and Performance, Asset Lifecycle Management, Sustainability Leadership, Energy and Water Efficiency, Digital Transformation and AI Adoption, Automation and Smart Facilities Technologies, Capital Project Delivery, Team Development and Leadership, Regulatory Compliance and Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Provide technical and operational leadership for site utility systems and facility infrastructure, including steam, chilled water, cooling towers, compressed air, water systems, condensate return, fuel systems, HVAC, facility automation, and related support systems.
- Lead reliability and asset management programs that improve system performance, lifecycle management, operational readiness, energy efficiency, and capacity.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators, predictive maintenance tools, data analytics, and reliability engineering practices to identify risks and drive improvements.
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective and preventive actions for utility and facility system failures or performance deviations.
- Develop and execute long-term infrastructure renewal, proactive maintenance, and capital replacement strategies aligned with site and corporate objectives.
- Lead Facilities & Engineering digital transformation initiatives, including advanced analytics, automation, AI-based tools, predictive monitoring, digital twins, machine learning applications, and automated reporting platforms.
- Partner with site and corporate digital, automation, engineering, utility, energy, and sustainability teams to support long-term strategic roadmaps.
- Lead sustainability and energy management initiatives supporting decarbonization, water stewardship, energy reduction, resource efficiency, and environmental performance goals.
- Develop, prioritize, and manage departmental capital plans, budgets, and projects supporting infrastructure, reliability, sustainability, capacity, and business continuity.
- Provide engineering leadership for the design, installation, commissioning, qualification, startup, and implementation of facility and utility systems.
- Lead, coach, and develop engineers, system owners, and technical professionals while supporting talent acquisition, succession planning, training, performance management, and employee engagement.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, safety, collaboration, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure utility and facility systems comply with regulatory requirements, safety standards, engineering specifications, and company procedures.
- Support inspections, audits, regulatory interactions, and engineering documentation related to facilities and utilities.
- Manage engineering consultants, contractors, and service providers to ensure quality, safety, performance, cost effectiveness, and successful project execution.
- Provide leadership and technical support during abnormal operations, shutdowns, emergencies, business-critical events, and non-standard work schedules as required.

Basic Qualifications:Doctorate degree in Engineering & 2 years of engineering industry experience
OR
Master's degree in Engineering & 6 years of engineering industry experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering & 8 years of engineering industry experience
And
In addition to meeting at least one of the above requirements, you must have a minimum of 2 years experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation of resources. Your managerial experience may run concurrently with the required technical experience referenced above.
Beyond that, additional preferred qualifications are: - Strong utility systems experience with the knowledge of Site or Facility wide.
- Direct experience with FDA or other related regulatory agencies, including an understanding of current regulatory trends.
- In-depth knowledge of engineering principles and the ability to resolve technical problems of moderate to large complexity and scope.
- Strong leaderships background with experience coaching, mentoring, counseling and developing technical professionals.
- Experience leading engineering, reliability, maintenance, asset management, infrastructure, or capacity improvement initiatives.
- Experience developing business cases and cost estimates for reliability, lifecycle asset management, maintenance, or capital improvement projects.
- Experience deploying predictive maintenance, condition monitoring, smart sensors, AI-enabled analytics, or advanced asset health technologies.
- Solid understanding of financial analysis tools, project cost development, and budget management.
- Experience delegating, overseeing, and managing project work performed by others.
- Strong project management skills, including experience presenting to large groups and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including technical writing in English and Spanish.
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, persuasion, facilitation, conflict resolution, leadership, and team building.
- Familiarity with ISO 55000, ISO 14224, SMRP, Uptime Elements, or similar reliability and asset management frameworks.
- Certification such as CMRP, CRL, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or asset management certification is a plus.
