Reporting to the Executive Producer, VOD & Streaming, this role will oversee a shared team of Producers, Associate Producers, and Senior Producers responsible for both day-to-day series execution and early-stage development support. The Senior Manager will play a critical role in scaling production resources across projects, helping teams move fluidly between pilot development, active production, and franchise growth.

This role requires a highly collaborative leader who can balance editorial judgment, production oversight, and operational agility in a fast-moving environment. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable managing workflows, shaping storytelling, and stepping into productions as needed to support high-priority projects and evolving team needs.

Your Role Accountabilities…

  • Lead and manage a cross-functional team of Producers, Associate Producers, and Senior Producers supporting CNN’s streaming and VOD slate.

  • Allocate resources across projects and series based on production priorities, development needs, and team capacity.

  • Provide mentorship, editorial feedback, and career development support to team members across production and development workstreams.

  • Foster a collaborative team culture that encourages flexibility, creativity, and operational excellence.

  • Oversee execution across a range of recurring formats, explainers, and premium video projects.

  • Partner closely with Directors, Development teams, and Editorial stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and at a high creative standard.

  • Provide editorial guidance on scripts, story structure, visual execution, and final delivery.

  • Step into productions as needed to support launches, high-priority initiatives, staffing gaps, or complex editorial workflows.

  • Act as a secondary lead on select franchise productions, helping provide oversight and continuity across the broader streaming portfolio.

Qualifications & Experience…

  • 8+ years of experience in video production, digital media, or streaming content, with experience overseeing recurring series, explainers, or franchise-based programming.

  • 3+ years of management experience leading producers, editors, or cross-functional creative teams.

  • Strong editorial judgment and storytelling instincts, particularly within news, explainers, or premium nonfiction video.

  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced production environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to balance hands-on production problem solving with long-term operational planning.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to navigate shifting priorities and production demands.

  • Familiarity with Adobe Premiere and modern collaborative production workflows.
