Senior Manager - Transportation & Delivery

The Wayfair Transportation & Delivery team strives to continually delight our customers by providing the fastest, most reliable, most convenient delivery options for all things home. The Transportation Execution team helps bring this to life by building and executing repeatable, scalable processes as goods are transported from our suppliers to our customers, all while embracing Wayfair's entrepreneurial creative and fun atmosphere.

What You'll Do
  • Lead the Transportation Execution West region by coaching and elevating a team of managers responsible for day to day execution in tandem with establishing and executing a roadmap for step change across the network.
  • Work with cross functional partners across field and corporate teams to understand how the Transportation Execution team will need to evolve to meet business needs and build a plan to drive that change with your team.
  • Establish and deliver on KPI targets, for your region overall and within each of your managers' sites, coaching as necessary. Bridge overall KPI objectives into site level objectives, partnering with analytical teams for support as needed.
  • As the leader of a geographically dispersed team, keep a pulse on how to balance standardization with site specific needs and guide your team accordingly.
  • Expect to travel about once a month to spend time in person with each of your sites.


What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, math, economics, or a similar field.
  • 4+ years of experience in a warehousing or transportation function or Master's degree/MBA with 2+ years of experience.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to tailor communications to all audiences, from associate teams to directors and VPs
  • Track record of building collaborative relationships that drive outcomes
  • Entrepreneurial spirit - ability to drive an idea through to completion and to craft a 12+ month roadmap you'll deliver against
  • Track record of building collaborative relationships and ability to partner with managers in other departments
  • Experience using a Transportation Management System such as Manhattan, Oracle, JDA or similar is preferred, experience using Excel/Google Sheets is required
  • Ability to travel as needed to support your teams


Salary: The salary range for this position is $149,500-$161,000 however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
