Job Description

Summary

This position provides leadership in the global transfer pricing area and is primarily engaged in management activities that establish the direction of global transfer pricing policies. The position requires the application of knowledge gained from experience and expertise to the job duties and responsibilities. The position will make decisions in areas that will impact the organization and its policies, procedures, work practices, and compliance programs.

Scope

The purpose of this position has the overall objective of enhancing shareholder value by reducing global audits on intercompany transactions through effective strategies and defense of these strategies while ensuring the Company conducts its affairs with knowledge of and in conformity with applicable tax laws. This role plans and directs the transfer pricing function within the tax department which includes intercompany charges, documentation, compliance reporting and audit defense.

Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide supervision to ensure company transfer pricing policies, procedures, and methods are followed
  • Provide high-level technical expertise in transfer pricing
  • Manage significant transfer pricing transactions for global usage
  • Maintain a close working relationship with controllers/finance managers as well as the company's outside advisors
  • Regularly develop, establish, and continuously improve processes and procedures
  • Identify and research relevant tax issues resulting from tax law changes and business decisions and make recommendations to executive management
  • Manage and direct the preparation of strategic responses to transfer pricing audit questions
  • Review and advise on transfer pricing documentation and support
  • Manage personnel and provide an environment for the development and professional advancement of staff members, including on-the-job and formal training, development opportunities, and timely performance feedback
  • Analyze situations, identify and forecast pertinent problems and evaluate realistic options; andrecommend/implement appropriate course of action

  • Organize and prioritize a variety of complex projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet critical time deadlines
  • Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
  • Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job
  • May need to travel to attend to business related matters
  • Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality
  • Other duties as assigned


Basic Job Requirements

  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and thirteen (13) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to seventeen (17) years.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, vendors, contractors, and tax authorities
  • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Market Rate Statement: The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate's qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
