THE WORK

MIC2 is looking for a transformational leader to drive our Technology Strategy - Managing our IRAD portfolio and engaging in the development of our Technical Roadmaps. The selected leader must have the vision, passion, communications, and collaboration skills to ensure compliance to established processes, while optimizing the standard work and processes for efficiency, mission execution and value. As MIC2 Technology Strategy Leader the selected candidate will be expected to lead a team of 3-5 and will report to the Director of Strategic Products and Initiatives and will be accountable for ensuring IRAD execution aligns to the technology strategy. The Leader will actively support MIC2 Advanced Concepts Campaigns by collaborating across MIC2, RMS and the Corporation.

The Technology strategy leader shall be accountable as described below:

- Representing IRAD New Business needs and status at the MIC2 NBB and NBR

- Support all MIC2 Market Segment NBBs to communicate status and facilitate the process to release/authorize IRAD gated funding

- Manage all MIC2-level IRAD

- Support the MIC2 IRP life cycle

- Track and support CETO and RMS IRADs associated with MIC2

- Support CETO data calls and audits for IRAD

- Lead MIC2 IRAD Compliance & Audit

- Lead Technology Roadmapping Activities

- Directly Support MIC2 Advanced Concepts Campaigns

Job location is any MIC2 location. Some travel will be required; Ability to attain a TS clearance is required

Standard Job Description: Designs, develops and oversees system architectures, including complex systems and systems design activities. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Serves as focal point for the development and communication of the system architecture. Ensures conversion of mission requirements into total systems solutions that account for design and technology maturity constraints of the system. Develops systems and system element architecture, design, and interface definition. Supports internal and external design reviews. Maintains knowledge of current and developing technologies and design and analysis methodologies. Develops models and architectural guidelines for current and future system development.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree is required; Advanced degree is preferred.
• 15+ years in multi-disciplinary technical experience in product development environment
• Prior experience leading multiple concurrent large scale IRADs, VRADs or other investment projects
• Prior experience developing product and technology investment roadmaps
• Experience in developing low TRL concepts, experience with CRAD & government S&T projects (such as DARPA)
• Experience interfacing with company executives, customers, and external agencies and partners
• Proven ability partner across internal business areas
• Demonstrated technical and people leadership experience including leading diverse and dynamic multi-discipline engineering teams
• Demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership skills
• Demonstrated ability to create a vision, build a team, and execute on that vision to create business value

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $182500.00 - $338900.00

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
