About This Position

As North Horizon continues to grow, we are seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Manager, Talent & Organizational Development to lead initiatives that strengthen organizational capability, leadership effectiveness, employee development, and performance excellence across the firm.

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this role will be responsible for designing and executing talent management, learning and development, succession planning, leadership development, and performance management programs that support the organization's long-term growth and talent strategy. The successful candidate will partner closely with business leaders to cultivate a high-performance culture, develop future leaders, and ensure employees have the skills, capabilities, and opportunities needed to thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and execution of North Horizon's talent management and organizational development strategy to support business objectives and long-term organizational success.
  • Design and oversee talent review and succession planning processes to identify, develop, and retain high-potential talent and ensure leadership continuity across the organization.
  • Partner with business leaders to assess organizational capabilities,identifytalent gaps, and develop strategies that strengthen workforce effectiveness and future readiness.
  • Develop and implement competency frameworks, career pathways, and development programs that support employee growth, internal mobility, andsuccessionreadiness.
  • Lead learning and development initiatives, including leadership development, management training, mentoring programs, coaching programs, and professional development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with leaders to create and support individual development plans that align employee aspirations with organizational needs.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and impact of talent and development programs, continuously enhancing offerings to meet evolving business and employee needs.
  • Lead and enhance the organization's performance management framework, including goal setting, performance reviews, feedback practices, and employee development planning.
  • Coach and support managers in conducting meaningful performance conversations, providing constructive feedback, managing performance challenges, and fostering employee growth.
  • Develop tools, resources, and training programs that strengthen leadership and people management capabilities across the organization.
  • Support employee engagement, retention, and culture initiatives that promote collaboration, accountability, inclusion, and continuous learning.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on talent management, organizational effectiveness, leadership development, change management, and performance management best practices.
  • Monitor emerging trends and best practices in talent management, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness, recommending innovative approaches that enhance organizational capability and employee experience.
  • Contribute to the development of a high-performance culture that encourages learning, adaptability, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Psychology, Adult Education, or a related field.
  • CHRL designation or equivalent professional certification preferred.
  • 8-10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, with significantexpertisein talent management, organizational development, learning and development, leadership development, and performance management.
  • Demonstrated experience leading talent assessment and succession planning processes, including the use of competency-based assessments, leadership potential frameworks, psychometric tools, and talent calibration methodologies toidentifyand develop future leaders.
  • Strong knowledge of succession planning, competency frameworks, performance management methodologies, and adult learning principles.
  • Experience coaching leaders and influencing senior stakeholders on talent and organizational effectiveness matters.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong project management and program design capabilities with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, strong business acumen, and a passion for developing people and organizational capability.
  • High degree of professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
