About the team

Affirm's Talent Management team designs and evolves the practices, frameworks, and talent routines that create clarity around performance, growth, potential, and opportunity across the organization. Our work spans performance management, talent planning, career development, and other core talent practices that help connect talent decisions with evolving business needs.

We partner closely with leaders and cross-functional teams to evolve thoughtful, scalable approaches that support consistent talent decisions, strengthen organizational capability, and ensure our talent practices continue to grow alongside the business over time.

What you'll do

You are a strategic and forward-thinking talent practitioner who shapes how growth and careers evolve at Affirm-building purpose-built, scalable approaches that connect employee development with the future needs of the business.
  • Define and evolve Affirm's career philosophy, creating a clear and cohesive approach to how employees grow, build skills, and navigate career opportunities across the company
  • Architect enterprise-wide career frameworks and practices, including internal mobility, career pathing, and tools that enable more transparent and consistent talent decisions
  • Establish forward-looking talent strategies that connect career growth to evolving business capabilities, workforce planning, and long-term organizational needs
  • Partner with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to shape alignment on complex talent topics, influencing decisions through insight, strong judgment, and thoughtful recommendations
  • Develop and integrate mechanisms (e.g., success profiles and related frameworks) that clarify expectations for growth and support more consistent approaches to development and talent decisions
  • Drive intentional change management strategies that help leaders and employees adopt new ways of thinking about careers, growth, and mobility at Affirm

  • Proven experience designing and evolving enterprise talent strategies related to careers, internal mobility, career frameworks, workforce capability planning, or organizational growth
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and build alignment with senior and executive leaders on complex, evolving talent topics
  • Strong strategic and conceptual thinking skills, with the ability to bring clarity and structure to ambiguous challenges and translate ideas into scalable approaches
  • Experience leading organization-wide change efforts, including introducing thoughtful, iterative approaches that balance long-term vision with organizational readiness and adoption

Base Pay Grade - M
Equity Grade - 6

Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. Affirm focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience and job-related skills.

Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents). In addition, the employees may be eligible for equity rewards offered by Affirm Holdings, Inc. (parent company).

CAN base pay range per year: $145,000 - $205,000

Affirmers in proximal roles have the flexibility to work remotely, but will occasionally be required to work out of their assigned Affirm office. About Affirm

Affirm is a publicly traded financial technology company headquartered in San Francisco, United States. Founded in 2012, the company operates as a financial lender of installment loans for consumers to use at the point of sale to finance a purchase. Affirm was founded in 2012 by Max Levchin, Nathan Gettings, Jeffrey Kaditz, and Alex Rampell as part of the initial portfolio of startup studio HVF. Levchin, who co-founded PayPal, became CEO of Affirm in 2014. In October 2017, the company launched a consumer app that allowed loans for purchases at any retailer. On January 13, 2021, Affirm became listed on NASDAQ with symbol AFRM, raising about $1.2 billion in its IPO. By the next day, the price of shares had doubled, making Levchin's stake worth about $2.5 billion. In May 2021, Affirm acquired Returnly, a financial technology service company, for $300 million.
