ResponsibilitiesPeraton is looking to hire a SAFe Release Train Engineer to support is DCSA NBIS program. This role will be a remote position with occassional travel to the Washington DC Metro area to support customer meetings and SAFe planning events.
What you'll do:
- Fulfill the role of Release Train Engineer on an Agile Release Train as part of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) development methodology.
- Organize teams of teams around a common cadence and ensure execution of the program increment and sprint goals, while maintaining overall process governance.
- Facilitate overall Agile Release Train rhythms to include Scrum of Scrums (SoS), Product Management Sync, Sprint Reviews and Sprint Demos.
- Coordinate with Scrum Masters of individual teams on team rhythms to ensure effective communication and coordination is taking place, both within the Agile Release Train and externally to other Release Train Engineers.
- Foster effective communication with Peraton Program Leadership.
- Provide overall coaching to the Agile Release Train to continuously improve agile processes and promote better value delivery.
- Assume responsible for the delivery of commited features on schedule.
- Collaborate with Government Product Management to identify overall priorities, timeline commitements, and release approach.
- Coordinate across the series of Government functional leadership roles to ensure all dependencies and risks are appropriately identified and managed.
Qualifications
What you'll need:
- 12 years of experience, may have supervisory or management experience
- Clearance: US Citizen and must have the ability to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance
- Familiarity with Agile Tools knowledge (JIRA/Confluence/GitLab/Artifactory)
- Strong leadership skills and ability to foster collaborative relationships with customers, teaming partners and cross-functional teams
- Ability to resolve customer issues very quickly and accurately
- Knowledge of IT standards, methodologies, system development life cycle and project management frameworks
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies (SAFe, Kanban, Scrum)
Target Salary Range$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
