The role:

The Senior Manager, Supplier Insights & Analytics provides strategic, financial, and market intelligence expertise to enable fact based procurement decision making across Global Procurement Services. The role acts as an internal consultant to Sourcing, Finance, and business stakeholders by translating complex market, spend, and contract data into actionable insights that drive savings, value realization, and risk aware outcomes.
The Senior Manager providing deep analysis and technical expertise to enable the leadership team to meet business targets and strategic objectives.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

1. Procurement Financial Analysis & Savings Governance
  • Lead validation, documentation, and sign-off of procurement savings, including P&L savings, cost avoidance, and multi year financial benefits, ensuring alignment with approved business cases and negotiated contracts.
  • Partner closely with Finance, Sourcing, and Business teams to support savings reporting, forecasting impacts, and reconciliation in enterprise systems.
  • Support enterprise initiatives and annual procurement planning cycles by providing historical spend, expiring contracts, and savings analytics.
  • Own and enhance procurement analytics assets, including spend dashboards, savings reports, category views, and expiring contract analyses, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.


2. Market Intelligence & Supplier Benchmarking
  • Acts as an internal consultant by leading market intelligence, secondary research and analysis of supply markets to identify opportunities and inform sourcing and supplier strategies
  • Monitors and reports on global, macro-economic, geographical, political and risk events that may impact the Bank's critical supplier or supply chains by conducting advanced analytics and applying predictive models to support Executive actions.
  • Lead market intelligence research using third party research providers (e.g., Gartner, Clearedge, Forrester, Beroe) to inform sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, and category decisions.
  • Translate external research into concise executive ready insights and recommendations for senior procurement and business stakeholders.
  • Applies risk management and compliance checks when researching and analyzing supply markets and vendor performance to identify potential risks and trigger risk mitigation and management responses


3. Enable Strategic & Ongoing Improvements
  • Support data governance initiatives by reviewing, correcting, and standardizing procurement taxonomies, category mappings, and reporting structures across regions.
  • Develop and deploy standardized tools, templates, and documentation (e.g., savings calculation frameworks, initiative data forms) to improve reporting quality and operational efficiency.
  • Support a number of strategic transformation initiatives within Procurement by leading program delivery and/or participating as a key advisor.


4. Stakeholder Partnership & Advisory
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders in Procurement, Finance, Technology, and Business units by responding to complex analytical and market related requests.
  • Lead cross functional working sessions and meetings to align on savings methodologies, data requirements, and reporting expectations.
  • Communicate insights clearly through executive presentations, written briefings, and formal documentation for leadership, audit, and governance purposes.


5. People Leadership & Capability Building
  • Provide functional guidance and mentorship to analysts within the team, reviewing outputs and ensuring high analytical and communication standards.
  • Enable knowledge sharing by maintaining centralized repositories of market research, analytics outputs, and best practice materials.


6. Collaboration
  • Partner with supplier management managers, strategic sourcing managers, and Procurement business partners to ensure effective procurement delivery and supplier oversight across the Bank.


7. Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook, and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

8. Champion a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates team members by fostering an inclusive work environment, communicating vison/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team.

9. Collaborate with supplier management managers/strategic sourcing managers and the Procurement business partners to ensure ONEGPS support and delivery to our business partners across the Bank.

  • Strong procurement background with 10+ year experience in Market Intelligence, Strategy Consulting; 5+ year Procurement lifecycle experience
  • Deep experience in Procurement analytics, market intelligence, and financial analysis within large, complex organizations.
  • Strong understanding of savings methodologies, contract economics, and procurement value realization.
  • Advanced stakeholder management and executive communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex data into clear insights.
  • Hands-on experience with procurement data, reporting tools, and analytics platforms (e.g., spend analysis, dashboards, enterprise procurement systems).
  • Results driven individual with high level of curiosity and ability to dive into details without losing sight of the big picture a must
  • Excellent change-leadership and conflict resolution management as well as advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Strong and structured approach to problem solving with execution orientation
  • Knowledgeable in financial services and regulations (e.g., OSFI, OCC, CFPB, UDAAP) and how they are applied to Third Party relationships is preferred.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with state-of-the-art procurement and analysis technologies.
  • Strong understanding of supplier management and governance concepts including risk management applications and services.
  • Ability to influence outcomes and decisions
