Senior Manager, Supplied Equipment Group, Reactor Equipment - Full Time Employee

TerraPower, LLC. is seeking a senior manager to provide the following services to support the Natrium team. This individual is responsible for management of the Reactor Components Group in support of the safe and timely delivery of equipment associated with the Natrium reactor enclosure components. This role resides in the Natrium Supply Chain group and will report to the Natrium Director, Primary Supplied Equipment.

Tasks
  • The Senior Manager is the direct line manager for Equipment Supply Managers (ESM) assigned to the Reactor Components group.
  • Interfaces with the Natrium Supply chain organization to ensure safe and timely delivery of equipment including but not limited to the Reactor Head, Reactor Vessel, Reactor Internals and associated components.
  • Interfaces with the Natrium Fuel Supply & Development department to ensure safe and timely delivery of fuel supply logistics
  • Ensure supplier performance management and oversight.
  • Support monitoring of equipment supply chain to ensure cost, schedule, quality, and safety metrics are met.
  • Interface with Project and Corporate teams including Engineering, Finance, Legal, Procurement, Quality, and Facilities to ensure compliance with procedures and processes for delivery of equipment.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to the Reactor Components group ESMs
  • Ensure the Reactor Components group ESMs adhere to classic project management tools to oversee suppliers including cost, schedule, submittal oversight, and resources.
  • Key collaborator with supplier management to ensure fidelity to contract and technical direction with supplier.
  • Review statements of work (SOW) and project planning to ensure proper execution of supplier projects to meet program objectives.
  • Oversee supplier selection activities
  • Maintain awareness of supplier technical capabilities, organization changes and relationships to ensure positive feedback to Natrium.

Key Qualifications and Skills
  • Technical degree required (preferably in mechanical, electrical, nuclear, systems, or civil engineering).
  • 10+ years of experience in supplier management and interface.
  • 3+ years of experience management people (in a related field preferred).
  • Demonstrated skills in management of suppliers in design and manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated skills in supporting the contractual and commercial aspects of customer/supplier relationships.
  • Previous experience in technical interface with engineering groups for review and input to supplier activities.
  • Required experience with project controls and organization along with tools and processes to support the same.
  • A broad understanding of the mechanical, electrical, and nuclear engineering disciplines and how they interrelate is important.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly and a desire to foster teamwork.
  • Actual position starting level will be based on assessment of qualifications.

Job details

Salary range: $184,368 - $245,824

*Any salary offered within the posted salary band is based on market data and commensurate with the selected individual's qualifications experience. This range is specific to Washington State.
