Full Job Description
We are building out the Strategy function needed to capitalize on the tremendous power demand and opportunity serviced by its pipeline of multi-gigawatt power projects. Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, the Senior Manager of Strategic Finance is a hands-on execution leader spanning strategic transactions, development support, capital raising, investment processes, strategic outlook and policy impacts.
In the near-term, the role will stand up intercompany structures and transactions supporting existing and future developments and support the capital markets team with priority financing of near-term developments. Over time it broadens into strategic initiatives positioning the Company to service power demand for the fast-changing AI landscape and establish investment processes to support the rapid expansion of the overall Company. It is a build-and-execute seat with clear room to grow as the platform scales.
What you get to do:
• Support the structuring and stand-up of the turbine leasing subsidiary (to hold temporary turbines outside the project company), working closely with the development and operations teams and external advisors.
• Partner with the capital markets team to support the Company's active financings, alongside advisors and lending partners.
• Partner with the development team to understand the project pipeline and provide financing, structuring, and analytical support as new projects advance toward contracting.
• Establish and run an institutional investment process for onboarding new debt and equity capital partners - governance, reporting cadence, capital-approval framework, and project-level reporting that outside investors will expect as the Company scales.
• Execute JV, intercompany, and strategic transactions, including project M&A / sales and co-investment structures.
• Build, audit, and maintain project finance models, translating development, procurement, and construction milestones into materials reviewed by the Company board and capital partners.
• Grow into broader strategic responsibilities over time - strategic outlook, policy-impact analysis, and an expanding mandate alongside the CSO.
• ~5-7+ years of experience, the majority in power / energy finance.
• Strong finance foundation with an understanding of non-recourse debt, lender processes, and financial modeling.
• Exposure to the equity and structuring side: tax equity, JV / co-investment structures, and preparation of investor materials and data rooms.
• A desire and aptitude to expand beyond transactional financing into structuring, investments, and strategy.
• Experience in growing companies - comfortable being hands-on, building process from scratch, and wearing multiple hats.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; mature, collaborative, and self-directed.
• Dallas-based and committed to an in-office working environment.
