West Monroe is seeking a Senior Manager with prior experience in Software Engineering management experience within a SaaS or h company to join our team. Our practice serves an array of interesting and exciting Software & High-Tech and Private Equity clients across the nation. As a Senior Manager, you will lead teams serving Software & High-Tech clients and Private Equity investors with a focus on software, SaaS, TMT, and tech-enabled services businesses. Engagements range across product and technology platform strategy, product & engineering operating model transformation, operational improvement of Product, R&D/Engineering, strengthening SDLC processes leveraging AI, as well as due diligence, value creation, and merger integration/carve-out initiatives. In addition to client delivery, you will play an active role in business development, practice building, and talent development. Senior Managers at West Monroe are expected to lead complex engagements, develop trusted client relationships, contribute to market-facing activities, and coach teams while helping drive the growth of the Software & High-Tech practice. Client Delivery
  • Lead engagement teams serving Software & High-Tech and Private Equity clients while building trusted advisor relationships with executive stakeholders, including C-suite leaders, business unit executives, product leaders, and Private Equity Deal and Operating Partners.
  • Serve as engagement leader for strategy and operational transformation initiatives within the Software & High-Tech sector, including product & technology platform strategy, product portfolio optimization, product migrations, product consolidation, R&D effectiveness, operating model transformation, and post-merger integration initiatives.
  • Provide engagement leadership for complex technology transformation programs such as technology modernization, re-platforming initiatives, technology platform consolidation, on-prem to cloud migrationsAbility to build credibility with CPO/CTOs and confidently communicate impact, results with business leaders of the organization Oversee development of executive-level client deliverables, including board-ready presentations, strategic recommendations, value creation roadmaps, and financial models.
  • Manage engagement economics, quality assurance, staffing, and client satisfaction while ensuring successful project outcomes.
  • Coach and mentor consultants, senior consultants, and managers, fostering an inclusive and high-performing team environment.
Practice Development
  • Lead the development and enhancement of methodologies, tools, and intellectual property supporting Product Strategy and Software & High-Tech advisory services.
  • Collaborate across Software & High-Tech, Technology, M&A, and Private Equity practices to strengthen integrated delivery capabilities.
  • Play an active role in performance management, coaching, mentoring, and career development of team members.
  • Support recruiting efforts, including experienced hires, campus recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Contribute to thought leadership, training programs, and internal capability-building initiatives.
Business Development
  • Build and expand relationships with existing and prospective clients within the Software & High-Tech and Private Equity ecosystem.
  • Identify, shape, and support new business opportunities in partnership with practice leadership.
  • Lead portions of proposal development, solution design, engagement scoping, and pricing activities.
  • Develop go-to-market messaging, thought leadership, and sales materials focused on Product Strategy and Software & High-Tech value creation.
  • Represent West Monroe at Software, Technology, Product Management, and M&A industry events while building a strong professional network.
  • Partner with leadership to identify emerging market trends and client needs that inform service offering development.
Qualifications
  • 8-12+ years of professional experience, including one or more of the following:
    • Software engineering leadership in a software / SaaS company with demonstrated ability of leading engineering/product teams and driving key outcomes with business leadership
    • Management, technology, or software operations consulting serving Software and SaaS clients, focused on product and software development lifecycle
    • M&A, corporate strategy, or transaction advisory experience supporting or as part of a software businesses
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex engagements and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Deep understanding of software and SaaS business models, economics, product management practices, and software development organizations.
  • Experience evaluating and improving product & R&D organizations, operating models, product portfolios, or software development effectiveness.
  • Knowledge of AI use across the software development lifecycle, including agentic workflows, AI-orchestrated SDLC processes, automated testing & remediation, AI-enabled modernization, expert-guided orchestration
  • Proven ability to build relationships with executive stakeholders and influence decision-making.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and mentoring team members.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Ability to work permanently in the United States without sponsorship.
Based on pay transparency guidelines, the salary range for this role can vary based on your proximity to one of our West Monroe offices (see table below). Individual salaries are determined by evaluating a variety of factors including geography, experience, skills, education, and internal equity. Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan, purchase shares from our employee stock ownership program and be eligible to receive annual bonuses. Employees will also receive unlimited flexible time off and ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Eligibility for ten weeks of paid parental leave will also be available upon hire date.
