The Role

As a Sr Manager Software Engineering, you will lead a team of technology professionals responsible for the delivery, support, and evolution of International Banking Commercial Banking technology solutions.

This role requires a strong technical leader with expertise in enterprise application development, system integration, and engineering delivery.

  • You will partner closely with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, business systems analysts, and engineering teams to deliver strategic initiatives while ensuring the stability and reliability of production systems.
  • We are seeking a forward-thinking leader who embraces change, builds high-performing teams, and drives technology solutions that create meaningful business value for our clients and the Bank.

  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, technical leads, and business system analysts, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive end-to-end technology delivery, from requirements refinement and solution design through development, testing, implementation, and production support.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into scalable technology solutions.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Systems Analysts, Architects, and Engineering teams to define technical solutions and delivery roadmaps.
  • Ensure production systems are secure, stable, supportable, and aligned with operational excellence objectives.
  • Lead resource planning, project execution, prioritization, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with business leaders and technology partners across multiple regions and functional teams.
  • Develop talent through coaching, succession planning, performance management, and career development.
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise risk, security, regulatory, and governance requirements.


Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

We'd love to work with you if you have:
  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, application development, project delivery and production support functions.
  • Strong experience of data integration, system integration, APIs, middleware technologies, messaging/event platforms, and cloud-based architectures.
  • Strong experience working with Business Systems Analysts and participating in requirements discovery, solution definition, and delivery planning.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing technical teams.
  • Experience with Talend ETL, Kafka, Salesforce, Precision lender is considered an asset.
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and modern software engineering practices.
  • Experience working with third-party vendors and external technology partners.
  • Knowledge of Commercial Banking, Financial Services, or related industries is considered an asset.
  • Fluency in Spanish is considered as an asset.
