Full Job Description
Shape how security enables some of the world's most advanced semiconductor engineering environments. Help position Arm's Intellectual Property (IP) and Silicon engineering businesses to succeed effectively, efficiently and securely!

This senior role is accountable for providing strategic security leadership, guidance and trusted partnership across key Enterprise Security domains. You will work closely with engineering, product security, information technology, legal, and commercial teams to protect Arm's most valuable innovation while helping teams deliver at pace in the complex semiconductor environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver the strategic roadmap for Secure Engineering Enablement across Arm's IP and Silicon businesses, aligning security priorities with engineering roadmaps, business objectives and enterprise risk.
  • Act as a trusted Enterprise Security thought partner for engineering teams, providing guidance across design, development, manufacturing, tooling, infrastructure, data flows and collaboration models.
  • Drive security-by-design adoption across engineering infrastructure, embedding controls, guardrails and enable risk-informed decision making without slowing innovation.
  • Provide expert guidance on IP protection, silicon engineering environments, EDA/tooling ecosystems, secure collaboration access models and engineering data protection.
  • Translate emerging threats, regulatory expectations, customer requirements and industry developments into priorities, measurable improvements and tangible guidance.
  • Build security strategies/roadmaps and advise on Security Architecture designs across IP and Silicon IT environments, providing practical threat modelling and experienced technical counsel enabling teams identify risks early, make informed design decisions and embed appropriate security controls.
  • Create meaningful governance, metrics and reporting to demonstrate delivery performance, security effectiveness and continuous improvement.
  • Champion innovation across secure engineering practices, including use of automation, data insight and AI-enabled tooling!
  • Success in this role means engineering teams can move faster with greater confidence, supported by clear security principles, pragmatic controls and trusted expert guidance.

Required skills and experience:

  • Significant experience working in Enterprise Security teams within the semiconductor industry, with strong understanding of IP development, silicon engineering lifecycles and high-value technology protection.
  • Strong enterprise security architecture background, with demonstrable experience developing practical principles, patterns, roadmaps and assurance approaches in complex technical environments.
  • Proven ability to lead strategic projects, deliver results through effective collaboration and influence, and drive improvements in processes, policies, and capabilities.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise security domains including architecture, GRC, IAM, data protection, secure development, cloud/infrastructure security, third-party risk and security operations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex security issues to senior technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong customer management skills, with experience influencing engineering, product, legal, procurement, commercial and executive teams.
  • Good awareness of semiconductor supply chain security considerations, including third-party collaboration, supplier assurance, data sharing, access control and IP protection.
  • Demonstrated commercial awareness and ability to balance risk, delivery, cost, user experience and engineering efficiency.
  • Experience developing people, role-modelling high standards and fostering a culture of trust, accountability and continuous learning.

"Nice to have" skills & experience:

  • BSc/MSc or equivalent experience in cybersecurity, computer science, electronic engineering, semiconductor engineering or a related subject.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, SABSA, TOGAF, CCSP, CISM, CRISC or relevant cloud/security architecture credentials.
  • Experience with semiconductor supply chain security, foundries, OSATs, IP partners, strategic customers or ecosystem suppliers.
  • Experience with EDA environments, secure engineering workspaces, regulated customer assurance or secure third-party collaboration models.
  • Familiarity with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, NIST 800-53/171, SOC 2 or equivalent security control frameworks.

Growth and opportunity:

  • This role is designed to grow over time. As context, relationships, and experience develop, there will be opportunities to take on greater ownership and play an increasingly important role in shaping how semiconductor engineering is delivered securely at Arm.
  • This role will become a trusted partner to Engineering, helping influence priorities, improve secure delivery, and support broader security transformation initiatives across the organisation.

Salary Range:
