Job Description:

The Sr. Manager, Sales Operations & Data Analytics, plays a critical role within Sales Operations, responsible for delivering both strategic and operational support to maintain the necessary analytics, data, and systems to support the needs of Xeris' business and reporting systems. This role supports sales force sizing and deployment efforts, measures and monitors sales force performance, and delivers analytical insights in collaboration with key business partners to achieve commercial objectives and to support data-driven business and sales strategies. This is a key role with significant organizational influence that requires the application of best practices across all areas of responsibility. This role requires a significant level of cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Manage Markets, Marketing, Patient Services, Finance, IT, Legal and Compliance. The position supports three commercial products across three therapy areas within the Pharma Retail and Rare disorder categories.

Essential Job Functions
  • CRM business lead poised to deliver results of CRM system by partnering across the organization with Xeris commercial brand teams, Medical, IT, HR, and Sales leadership.
  • Proactively partners with Sales leadership to evaluate territory performance and workload on an ongoing basis.
  • Develops semi-annual value-based prescribing targets as well as associated segments to drive overall performance and field direction.
  • Co-manages Sales System support initiatives with selected external Business Partners
  • Drives the Data Operations and Master Data Management functions to deliver accurate and reliable data and operational support to stakeholders across the organization including Primary Address Crediting etc.
  • Identify opportunities and recommend sales team optimization initiatives to pursue
  • Carries out overall vision and strategy for advancing commercial data governance and stewardship.
  • Leads and monitors the distribution of sales alignments and HCP target reports.
  • Collaborate with other Xeris department colleagues to proactively identify and resolve various data and operational issues.
  • Acts as a consultant during incident resolution and problem management/root cause analysis efforts.
  • Maintains collaborative relationships with external data providers including IQVIA, MMIT, Veeva, etc. to identify and resolve data issues and conduct data investigations, as necessary.
  • Leads HCP and HCO Master Data Management and Stewardship functions, and related initiatives.


Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, decision support/analytics, Marketing, or related field required, Master's Degree a plus.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, with relevant experience in sales operations, data analysis, advanced analytics, and decision support
  • Experience supporting new-to-market pharmaceutical products in Retail and Rare Disease Markets preferred.
  • Familiarity with various data systems such as IQVIA, Veeva, Power BI, Sales Force, etc.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and SQL experience strongly preferred.
  • Competencies: Project Management, Organizational skills, Self-Starter, Independent Judgement, Teamwork/Collaboration, Professionalism and Discretion, Interpersonal skills, Written and Verbal Communication skills.


Working Conditions
  • Position may require periodic evening and weekend work, as necessary to fulfill obligations.
  • Requires approximately 10% travel, including some overnight commitments.
  • This is a hybrid position located in Xeris' Chicago office. A minimum of three days per week on-site is required. On-site requirements may change at management's discretion.


The anticipated base salary range for this position is $155,000 - $196,000.

The level of the position will be determined based on the selected candidate's qualifications and experience. Final determination of the actual base salary offered depends on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's skills, experience, education, location, and business needs. Employees are eligible for equity or long-term incentive awards, where applicable. Field Sales role employees are eligible for a quarterly commission structure. Non-Sales role employees are eligible for an annual bonus. The Company also offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes additional elements such as paid time off benefits, various health, vision, and dental insurance options, 401(k) retirement benefits and more for eligible employees. Details about these and other offerings will be provided at the time a conditional offer of employment is made.
