Full Job Description
What you will do

  • Drive the delivery of client services, business development and practice management activities primarily for engagements related to Regulatory Compliance Management (OSFI E-13), the Financial Consumer Protection Framework (Bank Act), and Open Banking (Consumer Driven Banking Act) engagements
  • Develop, lead, and manage regulatory client engagement plans, deliverables and ensure quality of the fieldwork and deliverables prepared by the team members
  • Assist organizations in designing and implementing solutions to comply with new and existing regulatory requirements, manage overlapping federal and provincial regulatory requirements, and drive excellence in regulatory compliance management operating model and technology, from compliance risk appetite, strategy, reporting, governance, policies, methodologies, due diligence, and monitoring and testing
  • Lead proposal development as well as grow client relationships; understand clients' needs and provide customized compliance solutions
  • Identify and assess potential opportunities to expand the regulatory practice, including participating in the development and delivery of presentations, thought leaderships (etc.)
  • Collaborate with KPMG's Risk Services practice to support risk transformation opportunities specific to regulatory compliance, consumer / investor protection, and open banking
  • Lead and manage multiple client engagements of varying size, scope and complexity
  • Assist clients in regulatory compliance managed services, including periodic workshops and presentations to key internal and client stakeholders
  • Stay on top of key regulatory change providing internal and external stakeholders with practical and insightful guidance on regulatory developments
  • Support in the implementation of compliance analytics and technology solutions (e.g., GRC solutions)
  • Mentor, drive and review quality of work prepared by team members in managing project timeline, quality, budget as well as client relationship

What you bring to the role

  • 7 to 12 years of experience and a strong background in regulatory compliance in Financial Services
  • Law degree, regulatory compliance certificate, or equivalent
  • Strong current knowledge of the Canadian regulatory landscape (OSFI E-13, Financial Consumer Protection Framework, Payments and Open Banking) and leading practices in Risk Management
  • Able to lead cross functional teams comprised of diverse backgrounds and skill sets
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and succeed in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in report writing and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Flexible in working style and willing to learn new ways, methods and approaches

KPMG Ontario Region Pay Range Information
The expected base salary range for this position is $120,000-$170,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
