Key QualificationsExperience & Industry Knowledge- 10+ years of experience in category management, strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain leadership.

Role ResponsibilitiesStrategic Sourcing & Category Management- Develop and execute category strategies for mechanical equipment across Beale's data center portfolio.
- Optimize Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) while balancing cost, quality, schedule, capacity, and risk.
- Lead RFx processes from initial RFI/RFP/RFQ through supplier selection, contracting, procurement, and commissioning support.
- Negotiate complex contracts, framework agreements, and capacity reservation agreements.
- Develop multi-sourcing and contingency strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions.
- Standardize technical requirements in partnership with Design & Engineering to reduce bespoke specifications and shorten lead times.
Mechanical EquipmentManage sourcing and supplier strategy for mechanical Long Lead Equipment, including:
- Chillers and cooling towers
- Dry coolers and adiabatic fluid coolers
- Condenser units
- CRAHs, eCRAHs, and CRACs

Supplier & OEM Management- Serve as the primary point of contact for Tier 1 mechanical OEMs.
- Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships to ensure long-term capacity and supply chain resilience.
- Lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs), establish KPIs, and manage executive-level supplier relationships.
- Monitor supplier quality, delivery performance, billing accuracy, and contract compliance.
- Work with suppliers to secure priority production capacity and proactively address potential constraints.
- Identify risks within Tier 2 and Tier 3 supply chains, including exposure to raw materials, semiconductor availability, geopolitical events, and transportation disruptions.
Data Analysis & Reporting- Analyze annual procurement spend across mechanical LLE categories.
- Develop and maintain should-cost and price-index models, including tracking copper, steel, semiconductor, and other relevant commodity trends.
- Clean and normalize vendor bid data to enable accurate apples-to-apples comparisons during RFPs.
- Maintain the Master Equipment Tracker, ensuring accurate visibility into equipment orders, shipping, production, and delivery status.
- Track quoted versus actual lead times and identify emerging schedule risks.
- Develop and maintain automated supplier KPI dashboards covering:
- On-Time Delivery (OTD)
- Quality at Site
- Billing Accuracy
- Lead-Time Variance
- Develop monthly procurement reviews covering spend, budget, supplier performance, and project status.
- Maintain quarterly risk heatmaps identifying critical equipment orders at risk of delay.
- Track supplier-provided Scope 3 emissions data to support ESG and sustainability reporting.
Project Coordination & Supply Chain Alignment- Coordinate with Site Project Managers, Project Controls/Schedulers, Metro Directors, subcontractors, Engineering, Construction Management, and other stakeholders.
- Align procurement schedules with construction milestones and project requirements.
- Conduct cross-functional handoff meetings to ensure clear ownership and chain of custody for Mechanical LLE.
- Identify changes in equipment lead times early and communicate impacts to all relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress against procurement schedules and proactively adjust plans to keep projects on track.
- Provide regular updates on equipment availability, lead times, delivery schedules, and supply chain risks.
Risk Management & Continuous Improvement- Monitor industry and market conditions to identify emerging supply constraints.
- Develop contingency plans for critical materials and equipment.
- Proactively identify bottlenecks involving commodities, manufacturing capacity, transportation, or geopolitical risks.
- Identify opportunities to reduce cost, improve lead times, increase standardization, and strengthen supplier performance.
- Continuously refine Beale's mechanical sourcing and supplier-management processes.
