This work is highly interconnected with other parts of the audit process and requires close partnership with Legal, Compliance, Product, Technology, Operations, and other audit teams to understand requirements, determine operational impacts, and turn those requirements into practical audit processes, controls, and team resources.

The ideal candidate is a strong people leader who can manage team priorities, resolve complex or escalated audit matters, lead cross-functional discussions, and communicate clearly with stakeholders at different levels of the organization.

The successful candidate will help the team work efficiently, consistently, and in compliance with pharmacy audit requirements while supporting process improvements that make the work easier to manage and sustain.

This position is a hybrid role located out of our offices in Scottsdale, AZ, working out of the office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week with the flexibility to work remotely the other two days.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the pharmacy post-audit team, including setting priorities, coaching team members, providing actionable feedback, and supporting employee growth.
  • Own the timely, accurate, and compliant completion of pharmacy audit appeals, escalations, and post-audit correspondence.
  • Monitor workload, timeliness, quality, and performance to identify risks and improve team execution.
  • Review complex audit disputes and escalations, apply sound judgment, and determine or coordinate appropriate resolutions and record-keeping.
  • Lead the business implementation of pharmacy audit regulatory changes and maintain related compliance controls.
  • Work cross-functionally with Legal, Compliance, Product, Technology, Operations, and other audit teams to understand business and regulatory requirements and turn them into practical audit team processes.
  • Lead meetings, align stakeholders, document decisions, and keep cross-functional work moving forward.
  • Lead operational and strategic projects that advance the objectives of the Pharmacy Post-Audit team and the broader Pharmacy Audit organization.
  • Create and maintain team reference materials, compliance resources, and process documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, strengthen controls, improve consistency, and enhance the experience of internal and external stakeholders.

You will be successful in this role with the following experience:

  • A background in pharmacy audit and/or pharmacy operations, or a related field.
  • Strong people leadership skills, including the ability to coach, support, and develop team members.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to make or facilitate decisions involving complex, sensitive, or escalated audit matters.
  • Experience bringing together stakeholders with different priorities, responsibilities, and perspectives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including meeting facilitation, executive communication, and clear documentation of decisions and requirements.
  • The ability to translate complex regulatory, compliance, or operational requirements into practical business processes and controls.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, dependencies, and deadlines.
  • A collaborative approach, receptiveness to feedback, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Experience handling escalated customer, provider, or operational issues professionally and effectively.
  • Experience creating and maintaining procedures, reference materials, SharePoint sites, or other knowledge-management resources.
