The Global Packaging and Labelling team is responsible for planning,designing, developing, testing, and producing end-to-end packaging andlabels.We work in close partnership with cross-functional teams across thebusiness and partners throughout supply chain. We meet the needs of our product, guests, markets and channels in orderto achieve our strategic priorities and business goals.We ensure packagingand labellingmaterials areproduction ready and support successful productdelivery.

core responsibilities

Reporting to Director, Global Packaging & Labelling, the Senior Manager, Packaging & Labelling is responsible for leading a team of individuals to drive the end-to-end commercialization of global and regional best-in-class packaging & labelling materials from concept to production-ready assets in partnership with creative and strategic counterparts, manage development opportunity, risk, and balancing function, time, cost, and quality while delivering retail and design intent.

Their development leadership and strategic vision ensures that packaging is commercialized on time, accurately, reliably, while balancing business resources and deliverables.

Scope includes all End-to-End Enterprise Packaging touchpoints from Retail Packaging, Shoppers, Giftcards, Ecomm/Fulfillment Packaging, Product Packaging and Labelling, mainline & special projects Hangtag, Structural, and Cut & Sew packaging, core and seasonal branding, and variable data & intelligent labels.
  • Execute on short and long-term packaging development strategies
  • Lead, train, mentor, and coach the team to elevate business and soft skill set within team
  • Reinforcing an environment for learning, open dialogue, collaboration, and transparency
  • Drive internal process efficiency by encouraging co-creation with suppliers and vendors and external partners as needed
  • Mentor team members through personal development plans and career pathways
  • Drive communication and influence cross-functional partners through issue resolution
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to ensure full transparency and awareness of packaging and product style status along multiple track seasonal deadlines
  • Resource and allocate seasonal style capacity efficiently across various product classifications and team capabilities
  • Manage seasonal product development to ensure cost parameters, quality, and design intention are achieved
  • Maintain a knowledgeable overview of all product categories, and technology systems enablement with the ability to proxy and aid in strategic decision making
  • In partnership with cross-functional leaders, drive innovation and elevate process improvement
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to ensure brand identity, product information, compliance requirements, supplier/vendor capabilities ladder into strategic packaging & labelling roadmaps
  • Cooperate with all cross-functional leaders to ensure product is meeting cost objectives along the development timeline
  • Recommend appropriate seasonal supplier/vendor allocation and partner with sourcing and procurement to provide insight on vendor
  • Build business cases and resource plans with Sr. Manager of Packaging Design and Packaging Operations, and Program Managers
  • Manage vendor relationships and resolve issues
  • Track and report metrics on development health, risks, and dependencies
  • Implement new tools, workflows, and processes
  • Align stakeholders on long-term priorities
  • Represent packaging development in enterprise/global initiatives
  • Define key metrics to measure development effectiveness
  • Drive automation, technology, and process improvements
qualifications
  • An energetic, creative, forward-thinking individual who has their pulse on the future of packaging & labelling with design education (i.e. Industrial Design, Product Design, Communication Design, Marketing or related field)
  • 10+ years in packaging/print media production, creative/manufacturing, or related field with at least 3+ years in leadership roles. Experience working with technology is valued.
  • Extensive technical knowledge of packaging & labelling product lifecycle, construction, costing and domestic & international manufacturing;
  • In depth understanding of business functions and go to market requirements within product, brand, retail, and external supplier/vendor management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to create comprehensive presentation decks. Passionate storyteller that is comfortable presenting, collaborating and rallying cross functional groups
  • Proven ability to lead through others and produce results through cross functional teams without direct reporting.
  • Proven ability to form partnerships, build interpersonal relationships, and respect cultural diversity; ability to be inclusive, collaborative, respectful and support broad organizational interests.
  • Adaptable and agile, with ability to juggle changing priorities while maintaining a positive attitude in the face of changing deliverables or business needs
  • Have an informed point of view and be an expert on technology, material, construction, and most importantly mechanism of achieving the intended development.
  • Proficiency with Flex PLM or similar PLM software is recommended
  • Lead, develop, mentor, and coach team members.

compensation and benefits package

lululemon's compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and teamperformance. Thetypical hiring range for this position is from$134,100 - $176,000 CAD annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and subject to program eligibility requirements.
