Job DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?The Operational Resiliency individual at RBC Wealth Management Canada will support the Operational Resilience program. This individual will play a key role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational risks as well as ensuring the continuity of critical operations.
What will you do?- Lead the execution of the Wealth Management Canada Operational Resilience program, in line with applicable Policies, Standards and Procedures
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and create process improvement proposals
- Developing, enhancing and disseminating information on operational resilience processes, standards and initiatives.
- Develop & maintain strong relationships with Wealth Management Technology stakeholders to find opportunities to leverage and/or partner Disaster Recovery exercises, to minimize the impact on our Business and Operational stakeholders
- Monitoring and reporting on the compliance of critical operations, services and technology, in accordance with applicable Policies and Standards relating, but not limited to: Business Continuity Risk Management, Third Party Risk Management readiness, Operational Resilience and Incident & Crisis Management
- Developing processes to log issues/gaps resulting from test scenarios in the Enterprise Issue Management tool, partnering with Business and Operational stakeholders. Monitoring and reporting on the issues to ensure compliance to applicable Policy and/or Standard
What do you need to succeed?Must-have- 3-5 years of combined knowledge, skill, and background in any of operational risk, risk practices, business continuity
- Knowledge of Enterprise Business Continuity Risk Management, Incident & Crisis Management, Third Party Risk Management and Operational Resilience Standards and Policy
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess risks, analyze data, and working with Sr. Management to make recommendations to support decision-making.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency with MS Office suite
Nice to Have- Knowledge of RBC WM Lines of Business: business products / services, processes / workflows.
- Process documentation, Business Architecture, Tabletop testing and/or Workshop facilitation experience.
- Knowledge of Riskonnect (or other BCM tools), Archer, EIM and Microsoft Office tools.
