Position Summary

The Senior Manager of Project Management provides strategic leadership across Project Management and Field Operations Quality Control, driving consistent execution aligned with company standards, project objectives, and client expectations. In addition to leading the Project Management team, this role will directly manage approximately two projects on average, maintaining responsibility for project execution, financial performance, client relationships, and overall project success. The Senior Manager owns project financial performance (including WIP), strengthens client relationships, and ensures cross-functional alignment to support successful delivery. This role leads team development while building scalable processes, performance metrics, and quality control programs that improve efficiency, accountability, and overall profitability.

Department Oversight and Leadership

  • Provide day-to-day and strategic leadership to the Project Management team, ensuring consistent execution aligned with company standards, project goals, and client expectations
  • Directly manage approximately two projects on average, providing oversight of project execution, financial performance, client relationships, schedules, budgets, and overall project outcomes
  • Lead team development through coaching, performance management, and accountability to elevate project outcomes and individual growth
  • Manage staffing of Project Managers in line with current and upcoming jobs
  • Establish performance metrics and KPIs to measure project success, team effectiveness, and operational efficiency
  • Drive process improvements to streamline workflows, reduce inefficiencies, and support scalable growth
  • Own project financial performance, including monthly WIP reporting, forecasting, and margin management to drive profitability and accountability
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for key clients, building strong partnerships through proactive communication, issue resolution, and delivery of high-quality project outcomes
  • Develop and implement quality control programs to ensure field execution meets operational and quality standards
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, finance, shop, etc. to ensure alignment on schedules, budgets, and resources
  • Oversee material procurement and inventory levels to support project timelines, control costs, and prevent shortages or delays
  • Ensure alignment between project estimates and field execution through process improvements and team collaboration


Requirements

  • At least 8 years of progressive experience, including team and financial management
  • Proven success leading and developing high-performing teams, establishing consistent processes and controls, and maintaining high standards of performance
  • Required experience in Project Management within Construction, Land Development, or a related field
  • Proven ability to own the WIP process, including financial management, forecasting, and ensuring project profitability
  • Strong focus on process improvement, team leadership, and driving operational excellence
