Overview

We are seeking a Senior HR Manager (Human Resources Consultant) to join our Canadian Functional HR Advisory leadership team, supporting Western Canada. In this highly visible role, you will partner closely with the Functional HR Leader, Advisory Canada, the Functional Managing Partner, Advisory British Columbia, and the Functional Managing Partner, Advisory Prairies to shape and execute people strategies that drive business outcomes.

As a trusted advisor to senior leaders, you will play a pivotal role in translating strategy into action-balancing big-picture thinking with operational excellence. This role is ideal for an experienced HR leader who thrives in complexity, embraces change, and brings both insight and execution to the table.

What you will do

Strategic Partnership & Transformation
  • Act as a strategic thought partner to Advisory leaders across Western Canada, aligning people strategies with business priorities during a period of change.
  • Translate enterprise-wide HR strategies into actionable, National/Region-specific plans that deliver measurable impact.
  • Challenge the status quo by bringing forward innovative, data-informed people solutions that enhance performance, engagement, and inclusion.
  • Lead and/or contribute as a project team member on National Advisory and/or Firm-wide people initiatives.

Operational HR Leadership
  • Lead and support core annual people processes, including listening strategies,, performance development, compensation planning, talent reviews and succession planning, and workforce planning.
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality execution of HR programs and policies across all Western Canada offices, while remaining responsive to local business needs.
  • Partner with Centres of Excellence (Total Rewards, Inclusion & Diversity, Employee Relations, Talent, etc) to deliver integrated solutions.

Employee Experience & Engagement
  • Partner with leaders to design and implement employee engagement and retention strategies informed by qualitative and quantitative insights.
  • Support leaders in creating an inclusive, high-trust culture where diverse perspectives are valued and people can thrive.

Advisory & Change Leadership
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and people managers on a wide range of sensitive and complex employee matters.
  • Support change initiatives by helping leaders navigate ambiguity, build capability, and lead their teams through change.
  • Conduct research and develop insights, reports, and executive-level presentations on emerging HR trends, risks, and opportunities.

What you bring to the role

KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information

The expected base salary range for this position is $105,000 to $155,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
