Microsoft's As Cloud & AI Field Sales & Operations organization is looking to hire a Senior Manager, Go to Market Management, Datacenter.

As we are quickly expanding our local Region Datacenters (DC) footprint globally, in this role you will drive strategic business development to accelerate Cloud growth across the Asia.

You will need to be able to apply your valued contributions across a challenging mix of business development, customer orientation, tech savvy and leadership. You will work in close cooperation with the Asia leadership team, Field Sales and Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS), Azure Core Engineering Capacity Teams, Datacenter Expansion and Operations and Engineering teams to ensure services and features of the local Datacenter are aligned with customers mid-long term onboarding and services adoption.

  • Build a multi year growth plan to develop Microsoft Cloud footprint to support Asia business requiring cross team colloboration with the engineering and cross-team residing in Asia, United States and Europe, articulating a clear strategy.
  • Work closely with the Region and Area Leadership Team, Sub GMs, CSA Leaders, STU (CSA), CSU, ATU, and Marketing teams, and orchestrate all Datacenter expansion related activities involving partnership with Corp and Area teams, including site planning, build, pipeline and reporting.
  • Work with Area Activation GTMs, Sales Excellence, Sales Operations, and Area sellers to drive sufficient pipeline for anchor tenant customers. Create, manage and drive go-local pipeline and opportunity management internally in collaboration with the ATU, STU, GPS, Finance and BizOps Local workloads, 115% all-up pipeline coverage of business case at T-9 months to launch.
  • Identify key features and ensure pipeline is in MSX to signal demand to engineering planning teams. Work with Asia OCTO to coordinate with CO&I and engineering teams to land features on time for key anchor customers.
  • Build and support Microsoft Customer growth strategy within Microsoft Datacenter
  • Elevate local technical ecosystem engagement.
  • Create alliances across internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Build the Business cases for Datacenter expansions and orchestrate successful deployment
  • Secure Corp support for worldwide programs for additional service capacity, with special focus on partnering with Azure Engineering.
  • Assess with all stakeholders required Azure services needed and elevate all options to accelerate deployment to respond to critical needs and provide business continuity for mission critical applications.
  • In partnership with Corp marketing, define Public Relations strategy related to Datacenters, including new/expansion announcements.
  • Closely monitor execution of the plan and support Asia headquarters & Asia Leadership teams in any relevant strategic decisions / coaching / corrective actions.

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 6+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement

  • 5+ years of industry experience in cloud network topologies/design and related hyperscale datacenter network architecture/infrastructure.
  • 5+ years of operational experience in managing critical environments within enterprise/hyperscale datacenters.
  • 5+ years of experience with any combination of the following: drive marketing and partner programs; product marketing; business planning; product management; customer and market analysis; Go-to-Market strategy and execution; competitive market analysis and positioning; organize and drive product roadmaps; develop insights from market research; sales enablement and field support; build and execute marketing plans and strategies; or related.


Business Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.
