Deloitte Tax LLP's International Tax practice helps multinational organizations address the tax considerations of cross-border operations, investments, and transactions. As a Tax Senior Manager, Tax Services, you will support clients on our Global Tax Advisory Center (GTAC) team in New York. This role offers the opportunity to advise on international tax matters involving foreign tax systems, cross-border business considerations, and jurisdiction-specific technical issues. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical tax knowledge, practical experience supporting multinational business needs, and the ability to collaborate across teams to deliver exceptional client service.

As a Senior Manager, Tax Services on the Global Tax Advisory Center team, you will be responsible for...
  • Advising on international tax matters involving foreign tax systems, technical rules, and cross-border business activities
  • Collaborating with Deloitte Tax professionals to support client service delivery and business development efforts
  • Leading the review and analysis of jurisdiction-specific tax considerations affecting multinational organizations
  • Managing project workstreams, timelines, and deliverables across multiple engagements and stakeholders
  • Mentoring junior professionals and providing guidance on technical tax matters, workflow management, and quality standards

The team

Deloitte Tax LLP's Global Tax Advisory Center (GTAC) is a US-based team of international tax practitioners representing some of the world's largest countries and key financial centers. The team includes Tax Desks in New York representing 15 countries. GTAC professionals bring experience in foreign tax systems and collaborate with Deloitte Tax practitioners to support client service and business development.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field
  • 8+ years of experience in international tax, foreign tax systems, or cross-border tax matters
  • Experience advising on technical tax issues affecting multinational organizations
  • Mentoring junior professionals or leading teams
  • Experience managing tax engagements, project workstreams, and client deliverables
  • One of the following active accreditations obtained:
    • Licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA
    • If not CPA eligible, one of the other designations listed below based on role requirements and business approval:
      • Licensed Attorney
      • Enrolled Agent
Preferred:
  • Master's degree in Taxation, Accounting, Law, or Business
  • Experience working with multinational clients across multiple jurisdictions
  • Supporting business development or practice growth initiatives
  • Reviewing complex tax issues and presenting recommendations to stakeholders
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case . A reasonable estimate of the current range is $175,725 to $292,875.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
