Senior Manager, Global Revenue Accounting

Location: United States (Austin, TX or Seattle, WA preferred; hybrid)

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Global Revenue Accounting to lead our global revenue accounting function. This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant revenue recognition under U.S. GAAP, partnering cross-functionally with FP&A, Sales Operations, and Billing, and driving operational excellence across the revenue cycle.

This position will lead a team of five high performing individuals and report into the Global Controller organization. You will play a key leadership role in supporting financial reporting, audits, and process transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Accounting & Close
  • Lead the global revenue accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606
  • Manage the month-end close process for revenue, including review of journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting packages
  • Ensure timely and high-quality balance sheet reconciliations and account analyses

Technical Accounting & Compliance
  • Interpret and apply U.S. GAAP revenue accounting guidance to complex SaaS and multi-element arrangements
  • Maintain and document revenue accounting policies and procedures
  • Support internal and external audit requests, ensuring timely and accurate responses

Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Partner closely with FP&A, Sales Ops, and Billing teams to ensure accurate contract interpretation and revenue treatment

Process Improvement & Systems
  • Drive automation and process improvements across the revenue cycle to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Support system enhancements and implementations (e.g., billing, revenue recognition tools)

Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of revenue accountants
  • Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and control-focused team environment


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
  • 8-12+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on revenue accounting
  • Strong knowledge of ASC 606 / SaaS/ License/ Professional Service revenue recognition
  • Experience managing global or multi-entity revenue processes
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive process improvements
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and SalesForce/Certinia a plus
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills

This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.

Pay Range
The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 116,600.00 to 216,900.00
