About this role
Hugel Aesthetics is looking for a Senior Manager, Global Quality - Cosmetics & U.S. Product Quality to serve as our U.S.-based Quality lead for our global cosmetic business, while also supporting U.S. quality activities for our biologic products. You'll own quality oversight for cosmetic products marketed or planned for commercialization in the United States, working closely with our Korea, Canada, and Australia teams to drive a consistent global approach to cosmetic quality.
You'll also be a key part of how biologic product manufactured in Korea reaches the U.S. market - reviewing shipping and receipt documentation and coordinating any U.S. biologic complaints with our Korea manufacturing and Quality teams. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to build global cosmetic Quality systems and processes from the ground up, in a fast-growing organization.
What you'll do
- Serve as the U.S.-based Quality lead for Hugel's cosmetic portfolio, overseeing third-party manufacturers and CDMOs.
- Be the primary Quality interface with cosmetic manufacturers for product complaints, quality issues, and investigations.
- Lead development and lifecycle management of global cosmetic Quality SOPs and policies within Veeva.
- Review shipping, transportation, and receipt documentation for biologic products received in the U.S. from Korea, confirming requirements are met before release into U.S. distribution.
- Coordinate U.S. biologic product complaints with the appropriate manufacturing and Quality teams in Korea, tracking investigations through to closure.
- Support U.S. cosmetic regulatory registration and compliance activities alongside U.S. Regulatory Affairs and cosmetic regulatory colleagues in Korea, Canada, and Australia.
- Partner across Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, Commercial, Product Development, and Korea Quality to support Hugel's continued global growth.
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline (advanced degree or Quality/Regulatory certification a plus).
- Typically 7-10 years of progressive Quality Assurance experience in pharmaceutical, biologic, cosmetic, medical device, or related life-sciences industries.
- Strong experience working within regulated Quality Management Systems.
- Experience with complaint handling and coordinating investigations with external manufacturers or manufacturing sites.
- Experience developing and maintaining SOPs and controlled documents within an electronic QMS.
- Experience working with international teams, manufacturing sites, or global supply chains.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with sound judgment on when and how to escalate quality risks.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting cosmetic quality systems, product complaints, and third-party manufacturers/CDMOs.
- Veeva QualityDocs/QMS experience.
- Experience with cold-chain or temperature-controlled shipments, receipt documentation, or logistics-related Quality oversight.
- Familiarity with U.S. cosmetic regulatory requirements and quality expectations.
- Experience supporting products manufactured outside the United States and supplied into the U.S. market.
Travel
Based in Irvine, CA. Occasional travel, including to cosmetic manufacturer and CDMO sites, may be required to support quality audits and manufacturer oversight.
Compensation
The most likely base pay range for this position is $173,000 to $190,000 per year. Several factors, such as experience, tenure, skills, and particular business needs, will determine an individual's exact level of compensation. Base salary is only one element of employee compensation at Hugel Aesthetics. The total cash compensation could include base salary and incentive compensation.
