About the Role

The Senior Manager, Global Logistics is responsible for leading YETI's global inbound transportation network, with primary accountability for ocean freight operations, carrier management, transportation financial planning, and logistics performance optimization. This role drives the development and execution of transportation strategies that ensure product availability, service reliability, cost efficiency, and supply chain resilience across a global supplier network.

The position partners closely with Supply Planning, Procurement, Finance, Sourcing, Operations, and third-party logistics partners to manage inbound freight capacity, optimize transportation costs, improve transit performance, and support long-term network strategy. The role also leads transportation-related continuous improvement initiatives and analytics.

What You'll Do
  • Lead the execution and performance of global inbound ocean transportation operations from origin to destination.
  • Oversee transportation providers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners to ensure service level compliance and operational excellence.
  • Manage escalations related to shipment delays, port disruptions, capacity constraints, and transportation exceptions.
  • Drive proactive risk mitigation strategies to maintain inventory flow and supply continuity.
  • Own strategic relationships with freight forwarders, and transportation service providers.
  • Conduct regular business reviews, including performance, service reliability, capacity commitments, and financial results.
  • Support annual ocean freight sourcing events in conjunction with procurement
  • Manage contracted and spot-rate programs while identifying opportunities to optimize transportation spend.
  • Develop and maintain transportation financial reporting, including freight spend, forecast accuracy, accruals, budget performance, and cost trends.
  • Partner with Finance and Accounting on monthly, quarterly, and annual freight forecasting processes.
  • Perform variance analysis and provide executive-level insights on transportation costs, market dynamics, and financial risks.
  • Establish reporting frameworks and dashboards that improve visibility into logistics performance and transportation costs.
  • Lead ocean capacity planning activities in partnership with carriers, logistics providers, and internal planning teams.
  • Create and maintain transportation forecasts to ensure adequate capacity during peak and seasonal demand periods.
  • Evaluate transit performance and recommend network improvements that enhance service levels and inventory productivity.
  • Support strategic transportation network planning and long-term logistics optimization initiatives.
  • Lead transportation-related improvement initiatives that increase visibility, automation, and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with IT, Finance, and Operations teams to enhance transportation management systems, reporting tools, and freight payment processes.
  • Drive process standardization and KPI development across global logistics operations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data quality, shipment visibility, ETA accuracy, and logistics productivity.
  • Lead and develop a team of logistics professionals responsible for transportation planning, carrier operations, and freight analytics.
  • Build organizational capability through coaching, performance management, and talent development.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer service.


What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Finance, Operations, or related field required; master's degree preferred
  • Greater than ten (10) years of progressive transportation, logistics, supply chain, or freight management experience.
  • Greater than five (5) years of management experience.
  • Strong experience managing global ocean freight operations and carrier relationships.
  • Advanced analytical and financial reporting skills.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Finance, Planning, Sourcing, and Operations teams.
  • Expertise with transportation management systems (TMS), freight reporting tools, and ERP environments.
  • Consumer products, retail, or manufacturing industry experience preferred
  • Experience managing global transportation networks across Asia, Europe, and North America preferred
  • Knowledge of ocean freight market dynamics, carrier contracts, and global trade practices preferred
