  • A clear communicator who can distill complex concepts into actionable recommendations for different audiences

Your day to day is...
  • Lead FP&A business partnership across R&D and Operations, supporting budgets, forecasts, hiring plans, and investment decisions
  • Partner closely with functional leaders to understand business drivers, evaluate tradeoffs, and guide resource allocation and prioritization decisions
  • Own the planning and forecasting rhythm for supported functions, including timelines, assumptions, stakeholder inputs, and deliverables
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members, setting clear priorities and raising the bar on analytical quality, stakeholder partnership, and execution
  • Monitor performance against forecasts and targets, proactively identify risks and opportunities, challenge assumptions where needed, and recommend actions to improve outcomes
  • Translate complex financial and operational questions into clear analyses, insights, and recommendations for Finance and non-Finance audiences
  • Support strategic planning processes, helping partners evaluate investments, prioritize initiatives, and align decisions with company goals
  • Improve planning processes, team workflows, and reporting approaches to increase consistency, efficiency, and decision usefulness
  • Translating departmental and Finance priorities into clear team plans; managing competing demands by setting expectations, monitoring progress, and addressing risks early.
  • Leading ad-hoc analyses to support strategic initiatives and leadership priorities, directing the work of individual contributors and ensuring quality and rigor.

You'll be successful in this role if you have...
  • 8+ years of total experience in a financial analytical role such as strategic finance, FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, or accounting
  • 5+ years of experience in FP&A or a comparable finance role in a fast-paced environment
  • 3+ years managing people, including responsibility for developing individual contributors, setting expectations, and owning outcomes delivered through a team.
  • Strong business partnership experience with senior functional leaders, ideally in R&D or Operations
  • Expertise in financial modeling and reporting with advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Strategic mindset with strong problem solving and consistent delivery.
  • Experience with FP&A systems and tools such as Planful or similar platforms is a plus
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong influencing and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and levels of the organization
  • Relevant industry exposure in technology, healthcare, and/or consumer marketplaces is a plus.
