JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Manager, Network Development - North America, is responsible for developing, expanding, and managing relationships with VinFast's dealerships and third-party service shops across assigned markets in North America, in alignment with VinFast global strategy, approved network plans, and KPI targets. This is a senior individual contributor role that requires significant independent judgment and discretion in evaluating market opportunities, selecting and managing partners, negotiating contract terms, and making recommendations on network expansion, performance management, and termination decisions. The incumbent operates with a high degree of autonomy and serves as the primary decision-maker on day-to-day network expansion matters within approved frameworks, acting as the key liaison between service partners/dealers and internal cross-functional teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY ACTIVITIES:

Network Development & Expansion
  • Develop and execute network expansion strategies for dealership and third-party service shop growth.
  • Identify market opportunities, service coverage gaps, and strategic regions for dealer and service network expansion.
  • Recruit new dealerships and third-party service shop partners in alignment with VinFast's business objectives and growth plans.
  • Maintain relationships with the dealership network and third-party service shops.


Partner Evaluation & Negotiation
  • Evaluate potential dealership and service partners based on operational capability, geographic fit, business alignment, and customer service standards.
  • Lead partner discussions and negotiations (regarding Dealer Agreements and third-party service shop agreements), applying independent analysis of commercial terms, risk allocation, and service-level requirements to reach agreements aligned with VinFast standards.
  • Support contract execution processes in coordination with Legal and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Make recommendations on contract modifications, renewals, and escalation matters based on partner performance and business needs.
  • Develop and maintain support policies and operational standards governing partner relationships.


Dealer/Workshop Launch and Operational Readiness
  • Direct and coordinate dealer/workshop facility setup activities, including tools, chargers, signage, spare parts, and initial stock requirements, ensuring readiness against established standards.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure delivery of technical, operational, and system training for successful partner onboarding and launch activities.
  • Oversee system account creation, IT access provisioning, and operational readiness validation for new dealers/workshops.
  • Lead acceptance inspections and readiness assessments prior to dealer/workshop go-live, exercising judgment on launch approval or deferral.


Performance Monitoring and Continuous Improvement
  • Monitor dealer/workshop performance against KPIs, quality standards, and operational requirements, independently identifying underperformance and determining appropriate intervention strategies.
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans with partners, escalating to leadership when systemic issues or contract default conditions arise.
  • Provide periodic status and performance reports to local and global leadership teams with data-driven analysis and recommendations.


Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Act as the primary point of contact between service workshops and internal cross-functional teams, including Legal, IT, Training, Operations, Finance, and Global Network.
  • Coordinate with Sales and Dealer Development team on 3S Dealer workshop matters where applicable.
  • Support payment and reimbursement procedures in coordination with Finance, where applicable.
  • Other duties as assigned in support of the Network Development function and organizational objectives.


Position Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Automotive Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in network development, after-sales operations, dealer/service partner management, or related OEM environments .
  • Experience in recruiting and developing dealership networks or third-party service networks
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and markets simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to exercise independent judgment on complex business decisions in a matrixed, cross-functional environment.
  • Strong analytical capability with experience in KPI-based performance management and reporting.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, including Legal, IT, Training, Operations, and Global stakeholders, without direct supervisory authority.
  • Ability to travel frequently to assigned markets across North America as required.
