What you'll be doing

At CIBC Global Asset Management, one of Canada's largest asset management firms, we're committed to delivering high-quality global investment solutions to retail and institutional clients. As the Senior Manager, Distribution Strategy & Enablement, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and executing key business initiatives across the Advisor Distribution business. Reporting to the Executive Director & Head, Advisor Distribution Strategy, you'll provide analytical and execution excellence, lead the development and implementation of programs, and collaborate across the enterprise to drive results. You'll develop compelling business cases and recommendations for leadership, manage projects from inception to delivery, and partner with multiple teams to ensure alignment with CIBC's client-centric philosophy. Your expertise in Canadian Asset Management and analytical skills will support the creation of innovative solutions and the successful execution of strategic priorities. This role offers the opportunity to influence product development, optimize salesforce enablement, and contribute to a culture of teamwork, trust, and accountability within CIBC Asset Management.

The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $92,490 to $127,200.

The base salary is determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate's skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, as well as geographic location and specific business needs. Our compensation philosophy supports ongoing growth and development, enabling progression within the salary range as team members advance in their roles.

In addition to base pay, compensation for this role includes participation in an annual discretionary incentive or bonus program.

How you'll succeed
  • Strategy & Project Management - Lead the development and execution of strategic and tactical initiatives to enable and accelerate the salesforce. Responsible for developing business cases and recommendations that drive business growth. Assemble and manage project teams composed of internal and external representatives to implement new products or services. Collaborate with internal and external teams to communicate product information and key positioning, providing ongoing, high-quality support. Maintain comprehensive competitive intelligence on market penetration, product capabilities, and industry initiatives. Provide ongoing management in the delivery of products or services, ensuring activities align with CIBC's values and business plans.
  • Product Development & Management - Lead the design and implementation of new products or enhancement initiatives. Liaise with the marketing team for product development content, positioning, and competitive analysis. Maintain deep knowledge of product offerings across platforms, channels, and features. Analyze business needs and objectives, and participate in the development and implementation of strategic product plans, including ongoing operational management and support.


Who you are
  • You have a university degree in Business or Finance. Your academic background provides a solid foundation for understanding financial concepts and industry dynamics.
  • You bring expertise in investment and mutual fund products, as well as the regulatory environment. Your knowledge helps you navigate complex industry requirements with confidence.
  • You have experience in product management, product development, and project management. Your consulting skillset is valued and enhances your ability to deliver impactful solutions.
  • You possess exceptional analytical skills. Being a CFA candidate or charterholder and having completed the Canadian Securities Course are preferred qualifications.
  • You have comprehensive knowledge of the financial services industry, preferably in asset management. This enables you to contribute effectively to strategic initiatives.
  • You are highly motivated, flexible, and results-oriented. You thrive in collaborative environments, excel at problem-solving, and are comfortable working under time constraints.
  • You are a strategic thinker who takes initiative. Your conceptual skills are complemented by a pragmatic focus on implementation and creative problem-solving.
