What is the opportunity? In the role of Senior Manager, Digital and Transformation & Strategy, Canadian Private Banking, you will be responsible for leading and implementing initiatives that drive the Canadian Private Banking growth strategy in alignment to Aspire 2027 and Empower 2030 goals. You will identify, research, analyze, recommend, and execute solutions to drive an outstanding client experience and strong business impact. You will lead and influence partners across the enterprise including Canadian Private Banking, Wealth Management Canada, Technology, Enterprise Functions, and Personal Banking, & Commercial Banking. In this role, you will be responsible for both strategy and implementation: your thought leadership will help shape the Private Banking strategy and your implementation skills will bring the strategy to life.
What will you do?- Proactively identify opportunities for revenue generation and cost efficiencies while mitigating risk and improving the client experience.
- Establish credibility by quickly acquiring and demonstrating subject matter expertise and deep knowledge in Canadian Private Banking business
- Develop future state operating models and business cases using data, insights, and qualitative inputs from client feedback and front line employee feedback, leading to robust recommendations
- Provide strategic advice and well-studied recommendations communicated effectively through proper business and financial language to become a trusted advisor to executives, peers, and business partners
- Constructively challenge the status quo (i.e. leverage our diversity of thought, show openness to different perspectives, and passionately debate solutions)
- Lead and implement complex projects of various scopes and types through problem identification, defining approach, planning, organizing, and executing identified project work streams.
- Deliver presentations to influence business partners and executives, capturing key discussion points and drive towards action plans
- Recognize business complexity and make trade-off decisions to relentlessly prioritize and define appropriate actions to achieve work stream objectives
- Raise risks and issues appropriately and provide solutions to minimize their impact on work stream timelines and quality of deliverables
- Provide support to Canadian Private Banking enablement and communication teams to lead successful change management
- Contribute to the unique culture of Canadian Private Banking Strategy and Transformation group by continually demonstrating commitment to coach and develop the team and grow the professional capabilities of the group and yourself
What do you need to succeed?Must Have- Experience in strategy development and transformation delivery: opportunity spotting, business casing, storytelling, rollout planning (including with IT partners), change management, and benefits monitoring
- Strong RBC organizational knowledge with a solid understanding of banking industry
- Data analysis, insights, and financial modelling experience to conduct deep dives, analyze opportunities, develop business cases, and monitor value capture
- Strong knowledge of Personal Banking and Commercial Banking products & policies
- Stakeholder & relationship management experience, as well as strong communication skills
- Project management disciplines
Nice to Have - Strong understanding and experience of High Net Worth Client Segment and Canadian Private Banking
- Experience in a strategy, transformation, and/or management consulting environment, ideally focused on the banking and financial industry
- Bachelor's degree or post-graduate degree
- Experience working in a matrix organization structure
