Job Summary
The Senior Manager, Data Quality and Metadata Management leads enterprise-wide data governance initiatives across Data Quality, Metadata Management, and Critical Data Elements (CDEs) in alignment with the Enterprise Data Strategy. This role drives data management practices within a highly regulated banking environment, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and interactions with regulatory organizations. The leader partners across business, risk, legal, and technology teams to establish strong data controls, oversee metadata and governance platforms such as Collibra, and improve data quality outcomes that support critical business and regulatory reporting. Success in this role requires hands-on leadership, strong banking risk and governance expertise, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to provide clear direction, develop teams, and elevate data management capabilities through strategic execution.Essential Job Functions
Accountable for the implementation of data management capabilities such as data cataloging, data lineage, data profiling and monitoring. Develop the Data Management roadmap for multiple capabilities and lead the execution of the roadmap. - (40%)
Work with partners across the organization to garner engagement in data management deliverables, ensure clarity of roles, meet communication & training needs and identify areas for improvement. - (30%)
Influence strategy, create the roadmap and manage delivery of the roadmap for all capabilities. Manage a distributed team across the U.S. and India, including hiring, active coaching and working to remove any challenges. Ensure all team objectives are met by actively working alongside the team - (30%)
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
10-13 years of experience in Data Quality Management, Metadata Management, Data Analysis, Data Modeling, Data Warehousing, Data Governance, Master Data Management. Demonstrated experience leading a Data Management function.
3+ years of leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Information Management, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or Business. or equivalent, relevant work experience
DAMA or DCAM
6+ years of experience in Banking and Financial services, particularly in card processing.
Experience with enterprise data governance and metadata management platforms, preferably Collibra and/or Informatica.
Deep understanding of Data Quality, Metadata Management, and Critical Data Elements (CDEs) within complex organizations.
Prior experience supporting data management initiatives in a highly regulated banking or financial services environment.
Familiarity with banking regulatory expectations and interactions with regulators.

Work Environment
Normal office environment. (Remote or Hybrid), 3 to 4 days per month are required in office if within 60 miles of a posted Bread Financial location.

Salary Range (unless otherwise noted below):
$157,300.00 - $251,600.00Full Salary Range for position:
California: $180,900.00 - $314,500.00 Colorado: $157,300.00 - $276,800.00 New York: $173,000.00 - $314,500.00 Washington: $173,000.00 - $289,300.00 Maryland: $173,000.00 - $276,800.00 Washington DC: $180,900.00 - $289,300.00 Illinois: $157,300.00 - $276,800.00 New Jersey: $180,900.00 - $289,300.00 Vermont: $157,300.00 - $251,600.00 Ohio: $157,300.00 - $251,600.00 Maine: $157,300.00 - $251,600.00 Connecticut: $173,000.00 - $276,800.00 Virginia: $157,300.00 - $251,600.00The actual base pay within this range may be dependent upon many factors, which may include, but are not limited to, work location, education, experience, and skills.
You must be work authorized in the United States on a full time basis without the need for any sponsorship now or in the future from any employer or organization. The Company cannot offer employment to F-1 (student) visa holders.
Bread Financial offers medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, and other voluntary benefits (including basic and optional life insurance, supplemental medical plans, and short and long-term disability) to eligible associates (regular full-time associates scheduled to work 30 hours per week or more) and their spouses/domestic partners, and child(ren) under the age of 26. New associate elected coverage begins on date of hire (with the exception of disability coverage which has a 6-month waiting period). Six weeks of 100% paid parental leave for eligible parents is available after a 180-day waiting period. Hired associates can immediately enroll in Bread Financial’s 401(k) plan.
All associates receive 11 paid holidays. Associates have discretion in managing their time away from work through the Flexible Time Off (FTO) program and may need to notify and receive approval from their manager prior to taking the time off. Associates (except those located in Illinois) receive 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time (“PSST”) upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois associates receive 40 hours of Illinois PSST upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year and 40 hours of Illinois Paid Leave upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois Paid Leave must be used before associates in Illinois will be approved to take FTO.
Hired associates will be able to elect the purchase company stock during offering periods in June and December. You will be eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on individual and company performance.
