Job Summary:The Sr. Manager, Child Care Operations serves as the senior operational leader of Breckenridge Resort's Child Care facilities, supporting the Guest Care and Recurring Care center managers while acting as the enterprise leader for Vail Resorts Child Care programs at large. This role is responsible for operational, financial, and regulatory management of licensed child care operations across the enterprise, while directly overseeing resort-based child care centers within their assigned portfolio. The Sr. Manager provides leadership and expertise in licensing compliance, staffing models, enrollment strategy, operational standards, safety programs, financial performance, and workforce planning.
The position partners closely with resort leadership, compliance, finance, and external regulatory agencies to ensure consistent, compliant, and financially sustainable child care operations. This leader drives enterprise standards and serves as the primary subject matter expert for all child care-related decisions and initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:- Directly oversee Breckenridge Resort's Child Care Centers, including operational performance, staffing, enrollment, and quality standards.
- Provide enterprise leadership and oversight for all Vail Resorts Child Care operations.
- Lead the enterprise Child Care Best Practice Group to support operational and financial success.
- Serve as the enterprise subject matter expert for child care; including safety, licensing compliance, audits, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and lead standardized operating procedures and best practices across all child care programs.
- Establish staffing models and labor standards to support the guest experience.
- Manage annual budgets, labor targets, financial forecasts, grants, subsidies, and cost-control initiatives.
- Analyze operational and financial performance metrics and develop strategies for continuous improvement.
- Partner with resort leaders to align and support current child care operations
- Foster a culture of safety, inclusion, accountability, and professional development across child care teams.
- Support future program initiative and operational transformation opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Business Administration, Education, or a related field, or combination of work experience and education commensurate with above duties.
- Minimum 3 years leadership experience,
- Demonstrated knowledge of licensing regulations, compliance requirements, staffing ratios, and program operations.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, labor planning, forecasting, grants, and subsidies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to leverage data for decision making.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and partner effectively across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to travel periodically to resort locations
The expected pay range is $70,631.00 - $100,901.00+annual bonus. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
