Full Job Description
Senior Manager, Channel Content Development leads a team of Channel Content Developers in creating high-quality, scalable learning solutions that support front-line teams across Client Experience Centers, Virtual Advice, and Retail Branch channels. Drives the design, development, and continuous improvement of content that builds capability, enhances service, and supports business priorities. Partners closely with Change Management, Intake, HR, Program Management, business teams, and subject matter experts to ensure alignment to enterprise standards and measurable outcomes. Oversees content governance within the programs, ensuring materials remain current, compliant with regulations and policies, and continuously evolving to meet business needs. This position will evaluate the effectiveness/ROI of development initiatives to ensure business requirements met, time to performance mastery is measurably reduced, programs efficiency is continually enhancing and program design evolves to align to industry best practices. In this role, you will: • Lead and drive a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. • Collaborate with relationship managers, subject matter experts, business partners and senior stakeholders in conducting learning and performance needs analyses and identifying development gaps, objectives and priorities. Research and identify efficient, effective, sustainable and innovative blended learning, integrated solutions to meet identified needs. • Lead the design, development and implementation of blended learning solutions in collaboration with business partners, team members and vendors to deliver effective and efficient development solutions that enhance performance and engagement. Accountability for end to end solution architecture, design, development and implementation. • Leverage, engage, and collaborate with business partners and subject matter experts to implement and drive end to end program delivery, effectiveness and sustainability (i.e. Canadian Banking Business Lines • Evaluate quality and effectiveness of development programs and provide recommendations and solutions for improvement. Implement measurement and evaluation strategies to measure program effectiveness and business impact. Solicit feedback and diverse perspectives from key stakeholders to use as input into program enhancements • Champion the use of innovative design methods, AI-enabled tools, and emerging technologies to improve quality, efficiency, and learner impact. • Maintain new and ongoing relationships with external vendors and networks to ensure currency and relevancy of training industry trends and best practices, leverages knowledge to implement solutions to improve/enhance strategies, programs and processes. Keeps abreast of and share industry best practices to advance the learning and development plan for the organization • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. • Create an environment in which the team pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. • Build a high performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviours; communicating vison/values/business strategy; and, managing succession and development planning for the team Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have: • Post-secondary Degree in Human Resources or Business or related field • Significant or relevant experience in developing and executing learning strategies and solutions in a large complex corporate environment • Degree, certificate or designation in adult learning is highly desirable • Strong communications skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills. Ability to deal effectively with different levels of the organization (SVP and below). • Strong ability to strategically influence and persuade leaders. Strong ability to effectively perform in a complex, high change environment while being a positive steward for the Sales Enablement and Effectiveness team • Strong problem solving, conflict management, negotiation skills • Results oriented and able to effectively execute in a fast paced environment • Ability to translate strategy into actionable plans and results • Strong project management skills and effective execution skills to ensure successful delivery/implementation of learning initiatives and programs • Superior prioritization and time management skills • Strong business acumen and understanding to allow appropriate partnership with client groups • Understands how the data relates to actions and results for an individual person or team • French language skills are an asset Working Conditions • Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
