Capital Services & Solutions Overview:

Our Capital Services & Solutions pillar within the Global Technical Services business unit is responsible for the safe, sustainable, and cost-effective construction, operation and maintenance of world-class facilities that enable the discovery, development and delivery of innovative medicines that help patients prevail over serious diseases. Global Capital Project Delivery (GCPD) oversees capital improvements across the portfolio. Project execution responsibilities include strategic planning to align with business end user requirements and support sustainability goals, project and construction management, oversight of contractors on capital projects, project controls, project estimating, project benchmarking. Position Summary:

The Senior Manager, Capital Services & Solutions (CS&S) Operations is responsible for driving operational excellence across the entire CS&S organization through strategic planning, operational coordination, executive reporting, budget oversight, workforce planning support, leadership support, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role partners closely with Finance, HR, departmental leaders, project stakeholders, and executive leadership to ensure alignment on objectives, reporting cadence, organizational priorities, and operational execution. This individual contributor role serves as a central coordinator for departmental initiatives, executive reporting, workforce planning, operational governance, and business operations while supporting the successful execution of strategic and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development, maintenance, coordination, and issuance of operational and executive level reports, including reporting calendars across all business units, ensuring alignment with governance schedules, Steering Committee timelines, and organizational priorities.
  • Track, consolidate, and manage departmental objectives, annual priorities, and Global Capital Project Delivery (GCPD) milestone execution; partnering with Site Leads to track execution & operational performance.
  • Gather, analyze, and integrate operational and financial data to produce executive summaries, dashboards, analytical tools, status reports, and leadership presentation materials; manage executive governance processes including Steering Committee slide deck consolidation and leadership review coordination.
  • Support the management, tracking, and oversight of CS&S operating expense (OPEX) budgets, including forecasting, headcount, accruals, projections, and budget adjustment activities. Analyze departmental expenditures, financial trends, variances, and operational impacts to provide accurate monthly financial reporting, budget summaries, and leadership insights.
  • Collaborate with Finance on budget status updates, forecast revisions, accrual management, and variance analysis; evaluate consultant utilization and vendor spending to identify cost reduction opportunities and operational efficiencies.
  • Coordinate and run departmental meetings, GCPD Leadership Team meetings, annual workshops, CS&S All-Hands meetings, Engineering Forum events, and ad hoc meetings as required. Manage organizational communications and employee engagement initiatives, including development of corresponding materials and employee recognition activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts across reporting, budgeting, operational processes, and organizational coordination activities. Identify, recommend, and help implement process enhancements to improve efficiency, reporting accuracy, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Lead departmental efficiency initiatives through the use of AI.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to maintain, consolidate, and update departmental organizational documentation (i.e. job descriptions, organizational charts, workforce data, reporting tools) as well as coordinate workforce planning and headcount reporting activities.


Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or related field with 6+ years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical or related industry; advanced degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent) a plus.
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed, cross-functional international environment, partnering with functions such as Finance, HR, Site Leads, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience in business operations and/or operational excellence, inclusive of financial planning, data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development support
  • Proven track record supporting executive-level reporting, governance processes, and leadership decision-making
  • Experience driving process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives, advanced AI knowledge a plus.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical, financial acumen, organization and project management skills with an ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actional insights
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with reporting/visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) preferred, knowledge of Autodesk Forma a plus.

Compensation Overview:

New Brunswick - NJ - US: $132,300 - $160,320Princeton - NJ - US: $132,300 - $160,320 Summit West - NJ - US: $132,300 - $160,320

The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee's work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
